Patents Assigned to Eklind Tool Company
  • Patent number: 6598503
Abstract: A tool handle for receiving L-key wrenches of various sizes including an elongated axle member and first and second generally-cylindrical members, each cylindrical member having a central bore for receiving the elongated axle member. The first and second cylindrical members are mounted in end-to-end relationship on the axle member, and each is rotatable independently both with respect to the other cylindrical member and to the axle. Each of the first and second cylindrical members has an elongated slot along its length and a plurality of through bores of varying size spaced radially from the central bore and adapted to receive the shank portion of an L-key. First and second end caps are secured to the elongated axle, and both the first and second end caps have a slot therein corresponding in shape to the elongated slot on its adjacent cylindrical member.

  • Patent number: 6425489
Abstract: A tool stand having a one-piece body with a cavity, the cavity having an opening defined by two side walls, a bottom and a back. A cover is secured to the body and sized to close the cavity. In the preferred embodiment, the cover slopes downwardly from the back toward the bottom of the body. The cover has at least two rows of apertures, with the apertures being sized and shaped to receive the shanks of the tools to be stored in the holder. The body includes at least one divider integral therewith that is disposed in the cavity substantially perpendicular to the cover so as to form a divider between the first and second rows of apertures. This divider prevents the shanks of any tools held in one row of apertures from interfering with the shanks of any tools held in the other row of apertures. The tool holder may include either, or both, vertical and horizontal flanges for securing the holder to vertical or horizontal surfaces.

  • Patent number: 6151999
Abstract: A folding hand tool set comprises a multiple piece plastic handle and a plurality of hand tools pivotally mounted to the handle. The handle includes first and second elongated side walls and a third side wall, or bridge wall. The side walls are arranged generally parallel to each other. The bridge wall is arranged generally perpendicular to the first and second side walls and joins them to each other. The side walls and bridge wall define an internal tool channel, and first and second tool-set mounts. The tools are pivotally mounted to the mounts and in a closed position, are generally in the tool channel. The side walls also each define an external side wall recess for a hereinafter-identified grip. The grip is mounted in the side wall recesses. The grip has the property of yielding resiliently to human hand pressure to provide a gripping action between the hand and grip during usage. The grip is supported by the side walls for strength and force transfer.
