Abstract: A power brick device has a power brick housing. A male electrical plug electrically couples AC power to an interior portion of the power brick housing. A female electrical socket is coupled to the power brick housing and is electrically coupled to and receives AC power from the male electrical plug. An AC to DC converter is electrically coupled to the male electrical plug to receive AC power therefrom and produce a DC output therefrom. A current sensor senses current drawn by one of the AC to DC converter and the female electrical socket. A switch, responsive to the current sensor, selectively removes power from the other one of the female electrical socket and the AC to DC converter when a drop in current is sensed by the current sensor. AC versions without DC conversion are also contemplated. This abstract is not to be considered limiting, since other embodiments may deviate from the features described in this abstract.

Abstract: A digital television transmitting system includes a frame encoder, a block processor, a group formatter, and a multiplexer. The frame encoder forms an enhanced data frame and encodes the data frame for error correction and for error detection. The block processor further encodes the encoded data frame at a rate of ½ or ¼, and the group formatter divides the encoded data frame into a plurality of enhanced data blocks and maps the divided data blocks into a plurality of enhanced data groups, respectively. Abstract: A method and apparatus for reproducing data from a recording medium using a local storage is disclosed. If downloaded data is stored in the local storage and enters an updatable state, it is updated to a local storage file structure. A binding unit is formed in the updated local storage file structure, and the formed binding unit is combined with a recording medium file structure, such that a virtual package is formed. Therefore, recording medium data and/or downloaded local storage data are reproduced according to the formed virtual package.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a plasma display panel, particularly, to a plasma display panel equipped with an electrode structure which can perform readily a discharge between a scan electrode and a sustain electrode. A plasma display panel according to an aspect of the present invention comprises a front substrate comprising a scan electrode and a sustain electrode; and a rear substrate comprising a barrier rib for forming a discharge cell, wherein the scan electrode and the sustain electrode comprise a plurality of projecting electrode parts in the discharge cell. The present invention modifies the shape of the transparent electrode to broaden the discharge area, so that the luminous efficiency increases to improve a luminance. Moreover, since a stable and uniform discharge is generated, the white balance can be efficiently implemented. In addition, the unnecessary expensive ITO area is removed and the fabrication cost of the plasma display panel can be lowered.
Abstract: A power supply apparatus includes a main body, a power input device, a first power output device and a second power output device. The first power output device includes a first cable and a first connector. The first cable is connected to a first surface of the first connector and includes at least a stop block and at least a fastening element. The second power output device includes a second cable and a second connector. The second cable is connected to a first surface of the second connector and includes an extension part and a retaining wall. An edge of the retaining wall is confined by the stop block and the extension part is clamped by the fastening element so as to selectively combine the first connector with the second connector as a composite connector assembly and facilitate securely fixing the composite connector assembly in a common power socket.
Abstract: A digital data processing system receives compressed variable length encoded digital data in the form of variable length codewords in contiguous variable speed Blocks of data. The boundary signals between adjacent codewords are determined and a demultiplexer sequentially sorts the serial digital data among a plurality of parallelly connected buffers for reducing the bit read speed of the buffers. A corresponding plurality of variable length decoders decodes the data from the buffers and outputs the data in parallel form to a multiplexer where it is reassembled into a serial expanded data stream. The incoming data includes selector information in fixed length headers that are separated, buffered and variable length decoded for controlling the demultiplexer. In one aspect of the invention, the data is sorted into substantially equal sized groups of integral codewords for equalizing the loading of the parallel buffers.
