According to the present invention, a more accurate refined motion vector in a sample unit of a current block can be derived, and inter prediction efficiency can be significantly improved.

    Abstract: According to the present invention, a picture encoding method comprises the steps of: selecting a Vth basis function for a current block according to a specific order from among basis functions; deriving a Vth expansion coefficient on the basis of the selected Vth basis function; calculating a Vth weighted error criterion on the basis of the selected Vth basis function and the derived Vth expansion coefficient; and encoding and outputting information indicating the Vth number as a basis number when the value of the Vth weighted error criterion is less than a specific critical value. According to the present invention, more accurate intra prediction in a sample unit can be performed, and intra prediction performance can be significantly improved. In addition, according to the present invention, calculation complexity can be reduced, thereby enabling a data amount for a residual signal for a current block to be removed or reduced and the overall coding efficiency to be improved.
