    Abstract: Provided is a human body communication method using a multi-carrier modulation method, in which users do not interfere with each other in an environment with several users, and stable communication is possible when users are exposed to strong interference generated at other electronic devices. Also, provided are a multi-carrier modulation method, in which data between communication devices connected to a human body used as a channel is divided into a plurality of sub-channels and the data is transmitted by loading it on each of a plurality of sub-carrier signals, and a multi-connection method using the multi-carrier modulation method. The plurality of sub-channels having a predetermined bandwidth include several sub-carriers, and by changing a modulation method applied to the sub-carriers, stable communication can be realized.

    Abstract: Provided is a time division multiplex (TDM)/wavelength division multiple access (WDMA) passive optical network (PON) device. The TDM/WDMA PON device comprises a base station terminal, a wavelength splitter, and a subscriber terminal optical transceiver. The base station terminal comprises a transmitter time-division-multiplexing and simultaneously modulating and outputting a plurality of different wavelength optical signals, an optical circulator transmitting the optical signals output from the transmitter to an optical distribution network and transmitting optical signals received from the optical distribution network to a receiver and the receiver demultiplexing wavelength division multiplexed upstream signals from the optical distribution network through the optical circulator, converting the demultiplexed upstream signals into a plurality of electrical signals, and delivering the electrical signals to an upper layer.

    Abstract: An apparatus and method for monitoring quality of an optical signal in an optical network based on wavelength division multiplexing optical transmission technology are provided, which are capable of monitoring the quality of an optical signal with higher accuracy.     Abstract: An apparatus and method for protection switching of an optical channel at each node in an optical network based on wavelength division multiplexing optical transmission technology are provided.     Abstract: Provided are a fingerprint recognition apparatus and method which are capable of protecting registered fingerprint data and recognizing a fingerprint more quickly and accurately. In the fingerprint recognition apparatus, a fingerprint image generator generates fingerprint image data of an input fingerprint, and a memory stores registration fingerprint data for authentication. In a registration mode, a fingerprint recognition processor transforms the fingerprint image data into the irreversible registration fingerprint data using a specific transformation scheme, and stores the transformed registration fingerprint data. In an authentication mode, the fingerprint recognition processor transforms the fingerprint image data into comparison fingerprint data using the specific transformation scheme, compares whether the comparison fingerprint data is identical to the registration fingerprint data, and controls the authentication process according to the comparison result.

    Abstract: Provided are system and method for multi-protocol label switching (MPLS) label-switched path (LSP) protection switching in an MPLS system employing a working LSP and a protection LSP in a 1:1 mode, the apparatus and method prepare a dedicated LSP for one working LSP and are capable of rapidly processing a forward defect indication (FDI)/backward defect indication (BDI) signal when a failure occurs on the working LSP.
