  • Patent number: 5813433
Abstract: A faucet 10 includes a brass support 42 mounted in a precise location in a housing 12 of the faucet. A slot 60 is formed in the brass support and receives a tab 64 of a color code ring 36 as the ring is positioned on top of a tower 18 of the housing 12 to properly locate the ring relative to the housing and to preclude rotation relative thereto. A shroud cover 19 is secured to the brass support 42 above the ring 60 to capture the ring between the cover and the top of the tower 18 and thereby preclude axial movement of the ring. Exterior surfaces 38 and 40 of the fixed ring 36 are formed with contrasting colors, such as "red" and "blue," which are clearly visible on opposite sides of the faucet 10. A handle 20 of the faucet 10 is located above the shroud cover 19 and is mounted for movement relative to the housing 12, the color code ring 36 and the shroud cover.

  • Patent number: 5810676
Abstract: A lightweight shaft 22 of generally tubular configuration, for with a golf club 20, is formed with a first layer 34 of a non-metallic composite material of a given density including graphite fibers 86 and cured epoxy resin 86. A second layer 38 of the shaft 22 is composed of a two foam half-forms 124, or a foam full-form 142, having a density which is lower than the given density and which are located around at least a portion of the length of the first layer 34. A third layer 40 of the shaft 22 is also composed of a non-metallic composite material including graphite fibers 86 and cured epoxy resin 86 which is located around the second layer 38 of the shaft 22. A portion of the third layer 38 is also located about the first layer 34 at a tip end 30 of the shaft 22.

  • Patent number: 5810402
Abstract: An interconnected lock is disclosed which can be used in applications which have differing center distances. A rack is located between the lower operator assembly and the upper deadbolt for engaging a pinion which will release the deadbolt. This pinion can be vertically located at a position to receive the drive spindle of the deadbolt. A second pinion which is secured to the turn lever for the deadbolt is secured to the faceplate. These pinions cooperate with adjacent width portions of the rack enabling the faceplate to operate with different center distances.

  • Patent number: 5761937
Abstract: An auxiliary lock comprises a latch assembly having an elongated casing to be received by a first horizontal bore extending into the end of the door. A cylinder mechanism is received by a second horizontal thru bore extending, from one face of the door to the other face of the door and intersecting the first bore. The cylinder mechanism includes a cylinder having a chimney, a cylindrical guard having an annular door engaging surface, an annular lip projecting inwardly from the annular door engaging surface to be received by the second thru bore, a cylindrical segment projecting inwardly from the annular lip, and a strut projecting radially upwardly from one circumferential end of the segment and defining therewith a shaped structure. The strut has a length selected so that the shaped structure lies proximate the bottom of the casing to thereby prevent the rotation of the said guard.
