Abstract: A method for executing a first application program of a first control unit on a computer, wherein functions for controlling actuators and/or sensors and/or functions for processing and/or providing data from actuators and/or sensors are executed by the first application program. A first interface between a control unit hardware and a first application program of the control unit is established by the control unit operating system. A first virtual control unit operating system and a first virtual application program are generated by compilation. A simulation environment interface is made available by the simulation environment for transfer of a data item and/or of an event to the first virtual application program and/or the virtual control unit operating system. The simulation environment initiates and controls an execution of the first virtual application program within the control unit operating system within the first virtual machine through the simulation environment interface.

  • Patent number: 9289755
Abstract: Methods are provided for synthesizing crystals having a ZSM-5 framework structure from synthesis mixtures suitable for synthesis of ZSM-12 framework structure crystals in the absence of seed crystals with a ZSM-5 framework structure, such as in the absence of any seed crystals. For synthesis mixtures with a sufficiently high XO2:Y2O3 ratio, seeding a synthesis mixture with ZSM-5 seed crystals can result in production of pure phase ZSM-5 crystals with a new morphology. The morphology can include rod-like primary crystallites with a length of about 0.5 ?m or less that are organized/aggregated into larger secondary crystal structures. The aggregation of the primary crystallites into a secondary crystal structure can allow for an unexpectedly large mesoporous surface area for the ZSM-5 crystals.

  • Patent number: 9290701
Abstract: Processes are provided for producing a diesel fuel product having a sulfur content of 15 wppm or less (e.g., 10 wppm or less) from feed sources that include a biocomponent feedstock. The biocomponent feedstock can be initially co-processed with a mineral feed in a fluidized bed stage, such as an ebullating bed processing stage. Ebullating bed processing can mitigate the impact of the biocomponent feed on other hydrotreatment aspects of a diesel boiling range feed. Challenged biocomponent feeds can be handled by introducing the biocomponent feed into the ebullating bed reactor in a manner that reduces the fouling impact of the feed.
