  • Patent number: 9186617
Abstract: A method is described for separating CO2 and/or H2S from a mixed gas stream by contacting the gas stream with a non-aqueous, liquid absorbent medium of a primary and/or secondary aliphatic amine, preferably in a non-aqueous, polar, aprotic solvent under conditions sufficient for sorption of at least some of the CO2. The solution containing the absorbed CO2 can then be treated to desorb the acid gas. The method is usually operated as a continuous cyclic sorption-desorption process, with the sorption being carried out in a sorption zone where a circulating stream of the liquid absorbent contacts the gas stream to form a CO2-rich sorbed solution, which is then cycled to a regeneration zone for desorption of the CO2 (advantageously at <100° C.). Upon CO2 release, the regenerated lean solution can be recycled to the sorption tower. CO2:(primary+secondary amine) adsorption molar ratios >0.5:1 (approaching 1:1) may be achieved.

  • Patent number: 9187017
Abstract: A bushing allows for adjustability of a position of a headrest. The bushing includes a head portion having an opening and a passageway opening. The bushing also includes a body portion defining an internal passageway. The passageway opening of the head portion is aligned with the internal passageway of the body portion. The body portion includes a wall surrounding an area of reduced thickness, and a protrusion is located on an internal surface of the area of reduced thickness. The bushing also includes a moveable portion received in the opening of the head portion. The moveable portion is moveable between a first position where a feature engages a notch of a post receivable in the internal passageway of the body portion and the passageway opening of the head portion to retain the headrest in a position and a second position where the feature is disengaged from the notch of the post, allowing the post and the headrest to move relative to the bushing.

Abstract: A waveguide pathway and a phased-array device utilizing the waveguide pathway are provided. The waveguide pathway comprises a two-dimensional array of homogeneous unit cells. Each unit cell includes a branch point leading to two waveguide branches. Each waveguide branch passes through a positive phase shift element and a negative phase shift element, in series, and with each waveguide branch passing through the two phase shift elements in opposite order relative to the other waveguide branch. Each unit cell additionally includes a convergence point where the two waveguide branches converge. The wavepath grid and the phased-array device are capable of producing output channels with linear, asymmetrical phase distribution but with symmetrical power distribution without employing amplifiers. The phased-array device can be tuned with single-channel or dual-channel control.

  • Publication number: 20150323573
Abstract: A method for monitoring the power consumption of an electrical consumer that has a capacitive load and the controllable circuit element and the consumer are connected in series. The amplitude of the current flowing through the consumer, the voltage dropping across the consumer, and the change over time of the voltage dropping across the consumer are sensed. An allowed operating current amplitude is calculated from the voltage dropping across the consumer and from a predefined power. A charging current amplitude of the capacitive load is calculated from the change over time of the voltage dropping across the consumer. An allowed instantaneous current amplitude is calculated. The allowed instantaneous current amplitude is compared with the amplitude of the current flowing through the consumer and the electrical resistance of the circuit element is increased if the amplitude of the current flowing through the consumer is greater than the allowed instantaneous current amplitude.
