Abstract: Disclosed herein are power electronics assemblies which include a printed circuit board (PCB) having a plurality of conductive layers and a cold plate contacting the PCB. The cold plate includes a manifold constructed from an electrically insulating material and including a first cavity and a second cavity. The cold plate further includes a first heat sink positioned in the first cavity and thermally coupled to the plurality of conductive layers. The cold plate further includes a second heat sink positioned in the second cavity and thermally coupled to the plurality of conductive layers.

Abstract: A system for controlling operation of a vehicle during a turning maneuver includes an object detection sensor, a vehicle turning angle sensor, and a processor. A memory is communicably coupled to the processor and stores a turning alert zone module configured to determine if a speed of the vehicle is within a predetermined range of speeds and, if the speed of the vehicle is within the predetermined range of speeds, determine if a vehicle turning angle is above a predetermined threshold value. If the turning angle is above the predetermined threshold value, and using the turning angle, a turning alert zone is determined. The system may then determine if at least a portion of an object resides in the turning alert zone and, if at least a portion of an object resides in the turning alert zone, control an operation of the vehicle (for example, a braking operation).

Abstract: Apparatus and associated methods relate to a side-mounted field-installable indication module (SMFIIM) configured to reflect a status of a manufacturing area (e.g., a status of a machine, status of a light curtain). In an illustrative example, the SMFIIM may include a light emitting module configured to emit a visual indicium corresponding to the status of the manufacturing area, and a coupling member configured to be releasably captured within a longitudinally extending channel of a housing of a light curtain. After installation, for example, the SMFIIM may be disposed on a side of and substantially parallel to the housing. The light emitting module may emit the visual indicium in an emitting plane oriented at an angle less than 90° to a plane tangential to a mounting surface of the light curtain housing. Various embodiments may advantageously provide a wide viewing angle of the light emitting module around the lighting curtain.

Abstract: An aiming device is provided including an illumination device and an optical element wherein the illumination device projects a primary dot and at least one secondary alignment dot distal from the primary dot to aid a user in obtaining a view of the primary dot when the aiming device is in an aligned mode, the primary dot is visible within a field of view of the user, but the secondary alignment dot is not visible. When the aiming device is in a misaligned mode, the secondary alignment dot is visible to the user, but the primary dot is not. The secondary alignment dot provides instruction to the user to realign the aiming device relative to the field of view of the user so that the aiming device transitions to the aligned mode. A related method of operation is provided.
