  • Patent number: 11177645
Abstract: A transformer system including a transformer including a set of wye windings, a three-phase current transformer, a neutral-current transformer, and a controller. The three-phase current transformer outputs a first signal indicative of a three-phase current conducting through the set of wye windings and the three-phase current transformer. The neutral-current transformer couples the current flowing from the ground to the neutral node of the transformer, and outputs a second signal indicative of a neutral current conducting from the ground node to the neutral node of the transformer. The controller receives the first signal and the second signal, determines whether an external ground fault condition or an internal ground fault condition is present based on the three-phase current and the neutral current, and determines whether a wiring error is present for the three-phase current transformer or the neutral-current transformer based on the three-phase current and the neutral current.

  • Patent number: 11177890
Abstract: A quantum communication system includes a first quantum transceiver, a second quantum transceiver, and a quantum communication mediator (QCM) system. The transceivers have different resonant frequencies or physical systems. The QCM system receives an initial quantum signal from the first quantum transceiver. The QCM transfers the quantum state to a second pair of optical signals from the first pair by way of a four-wave mixing process. The QCM transfers the quantum state from the second pair of optical signals to a second mechanical signal by way of a second three-wave mixing process. The QCM transfers the quantum state from the second mechanical signal to a final quantum signal by mechanical transduction.

The graphical block diagram may include at least a first graphical block used solely in a first operating mode and a second graphical block used solely in a second operating mode. Each of the first and second graphical blocks includes a respective input receiving an input from a defined mode block. The defined mode block produces a mode output indicating a selection of one of the multiple operating modes. Other blocks of the graphical block diagram may be used in more than one operating mode. Depending on the value of the mode output, the graphical block diagram is interpreted according to the first or second operating mode. More than two operating modes are possible. The techniques described herein improve a model-based development platform.

  • Patent number: 11174720
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for identifying downhole dynamics in a drilling system are provided. Acceleration-detecting sensors are mounted at multiple locations near to a drill bit, such as at a drill collar. The sensors may be spaced 90° apart along a circumference of the drill collar. The sensors detect acceleration measurements in a plane orthogonal to the drill string's axis of rotation, with respect to a first reference frame that moves with the drill string. The acceleration measurements are received by a processor and processed to determine rotational and revolution positions of the drill string within the wellbore with respect to a static reference frame. Whirl dynamics may, in particular, be determined based on the results in real time.
