    Abstract: Systems and methods for monitoring the isolation resistance of one or more fuel cells are described herein. In one example, a system includes a current transformer having a hollow core. First and second portions of a load line from a fuel cell are located within the hollow core. The first portion of the load line is electrically between an anode of a fuel cell and an electrical load, while the second portion of the load line being electrically between a cathode of the fuel cell and the electrical load. The current transformer is configured to output an electrical signal proportional to a current passing through the hollow core. This electrical signal can then be used to determine the isolation resistance of the fuel cell.

In some embodiments, the disclosed system may be useful for cooling on the order of about 3 kg/day to about 300 kg/day of hydrogen gas to liquid form, with higher efficiency than a standard vapor compression based system. This higher efficiency may make the system a more attractive candidate for use in cryogenic cooling applications.

    Abstract: A device for coating a metal strip with a liquid coating material comprises a coating container filled with, for example, liquid zinc. After the metal strip exits the coating container, liquid coating material adheres to the metal strip. Excess coating material is blown away from the surface of the metal strip by a blowing device. Thereafter, the metal strip runs through an electromagnetic stabilization device which is supported on the blowing device. Disturbing influences may cause the metal strip to no longer run centrally through a slot of the blowing device. A displacement or re-alignment of the blowing device is then required to guide the metal strip back to the set middle position. A first displacing device displaces the electromagnetic stabilization device relative to the blowing device in the plane transverse to the direction of transport of the metal strip to avoid an undesirable displacement of the electromagnetic stabilization device.
