Abstract: In one embodiment, a method for controlling a manufacturing process can include obstructing a part receiving path of a press station with a part detection fixture. The part detection fixture can include a moveable contact member and a target body that moves in response to motion of the moveable contact member. The moveable contact member of the part detection fixture can obstruct the part receiving path such that the target body of the part detection fixture is positioned in a dissenting state. The target body of the part detection fixture can be positioned in an assenting state coincident with contact between the moveable contact member of the part detection fixture and the workpiece. Image data of the target body of the part detection fixture can be detected with a vision system. The press station can be actuated when the image data is indicative of the assenting state.

Abstract: An adjustable key block assembly includes an outer housing block having an upper face and a lower face. The outer housing includes an elongated table engagement member extending from the lower face arranged and configured to be received within a groove of a table of a milling machine defining a set direction of the adjustable key block assembly. A drive screw is rotatably connected to the outer housing block and extending through a slide member opening in the upper face of the outer housing block. The drive screw defines a drive axis that is offset angularly from the set direction. A center slide member includes a collar portion having a threaded opening extending therethrough that is threadably engaged with the drive screw such that rotation of the drive screw moves the center slide member along the drive axis within the slide member opening. The center slide member further includes an engaging portion that extends upwardly from the collar portion beyond the upper face.

  • Patent number: 9115688
Abstract: A new wind resisting electricity generator that floats offshore supported by buoyancy-providing used tires filled with waterproof foam. Electricity is generated through water turbines, uniformly rotated using waves and under water currents, and through directional wind turbines. Used tires are mounted on a mechanical and electrical utilities structure and a wind energy structure to interrupt wind flow near water surfaces in onshore directed weather. Dummy floats that provide protection from floating debris for the water turbines and direct waves to the upper turbine blades are alternated with generator floats in a line offshore and are held together with connecting chains and recycled tires mounted on the connecting chains.

  • Patent number: 9116227
Abstract: A radar apparatus includes a phased array receiver, with a steerable receive beam. The receiver elements are grouped into subarrays, which each provide a subarray signal to a mixer. The mixer signals are then used by a DBF algorithm to determine narrow virtual beams within the receive beam. The receive beam is used to obtain radar data from sectors of the field of view, and the sectors may be approximately as wide as the receive beam. The order in which sectors are examined may be determined by the sector importance, related to the presence, nature, and/or behavior of previously tracked targets within each sector.

Abstract: A dedicated short range radar system is provided for use with a GPS system. The radar system includes a transmitter which transmits a microwave radio signal. A receiver is coupled to a horizontally scanning receiver antenna array which receives an echo, if present, from the radio signal transmitted by the transmitter. The radio receiver then generates an output signal representative of the echo. A control circuit then receives the output signal from the antenna array as well as the output signal from the GPS system. The control circuit then varies the mode of operation of the receiver and/or the transmitter as a function of the type of roadway for optimal radar performance.
