Abstract: Disclosed is a method for preparing a magnetic microsphere for the separation of biological proteins. A magnetic microsphere matrix is treated by formulating and using an appropriate emulsified liquid, and modification of the surface of the magnetic microsphere matrix is realized by emulsion polymerization, thereby obtaining a magnetic microsphere coated with a polyacrylate polymer layer. Said emulsified liquid comprises the following components therein: acyclic acid monoester compounds, acyclic acid glycol compounds, initiators and optionally anionic surface active agents and water. The magnetic microsphere significantly reduces the non-specific adsorption of other proteins, without affecting the joining ability for a specific protein, when used in the separation of biological proteins. A new selection is provided to realize the separation engineering of high protein specificity adsorption.

  • Patent number: 9608511
Abstract: A method for charging a modular multilevel converter includes: firstly, electrifying DC side of a converter; after voltages of submodules are stabilized, deblocking the converter, turning on all the submodules, then reducing the number of turned on submodules in phase unit; when over-current occurs on a bridge arm, temporarily increasing the number of turned on submodules to suppress the over-current; after the voltages of the sub-modules are stabilized, continuously reducing the number of the turned on submodules until the number of the turned on submodules in the phase unit is finally equal to the number of working submodules of the bridge arm, so as to smoothly transit to a normal operation state. The DC side is charged, such that the voltages of the submodules reach a working voltage before the converter normally operates, and an impacting current is avoided in the charging process by using a proper control strategy.

  • Patent number: 9605218
Abstract: Improved yields of fuels and/or lubricants from a resid or other heavy oil feed can be achieved using slurry hydroconversion to convert at least about 90 wt % of the feed. The converted portion of the feed can then be passed into one or more hydroprocessing stages. An initial processing stage can be a hydrotreatment stage for additional removal of contaminants and for passivation of high activity functional groups that may be created during slurry hydroconversion. The hydrotreatment effluent can then be fractionated to separate naphtha boiling range fractions from distillate fuel boiling range fractions and lubricant boiling range fractions. At least the lubricant boiling range fraction can then be hydrocracked to improve the viscosity properties. The hydrocracking effluent can also be dewaxed to improve the cold flow properties. The hydrocracked and/or dewaxed product can then be optionally hydrofinished.

Abstract: A computer system may seek to identify at least one contraction metric that satisfies contraction conditions for a design of a dynamical system. The computer system may do so by formulating a search for a candidate contraction metric that is suspected of satisfying the contraction conditions for the design of the dynamical system from a set of simulation traces that describe the behavior of the dynamical system for a specific set of operating conditions. The search for the candidate contraction metric may then be performed. The computer system may seek to verify that a candidate contraction metric for a design of a dynamical system satisfies contraction conditions by performing a process that uses solvers based on decision procedures.
