Abstract: The present invention describes a process for producing middle distillates from a paraffinic feed produced by Fischer-Tropsch synthesis and divided into two fractions, a light fraction, termed the cold condensate, and a heavy fraction, termed the waxes, comprising a) fractionating said cold condensate fraction into a gaseous C4? fraction and an intermediate fraction with an initial boiling point in the range 15° C. to 40° C. and an end point in the range 300° C. to 450° C.
Abstract: A process for the conversion of heavy feedstocks using hydrotreatment, distillation or flash, and deasphalting that includes mixing a heavy feedstock with a hydrogenation catalyst and subjecting the thus-formed mixture to a hydrotreatment reactor for reaction with one or more of hydrogen and hydrogen sulfide to form a first product stream; subjecting the first product stream to a distillation or flash to form a plurality of distillate fractions; and recycling heavies from the distillation residue and/or tar by deasphalting in the presence of a solvent; where the hydrotreatment reaction product is pre-separated under high pressure to form light and heavy fractions and sending the heavy fraction to the distillation and/or flash.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for measuring spatial movements of plant structures, such as pipes, due for example to movement of the ground in presence of landslide phenomena, subsidence, collapse, or differential settling. The measuring apparatus includes at least one ground station that communicates with at least one corresponding signal-sending satellite station, the ground station being connected in a movable manner to a support constrainable in a fixed manner to the plant structure, the ground structure having an initial azimuthal orientation and an initial azimuthal height. The ground station is moved with respect to the support via a mechanism for adjusting the orientation and height of the same to compensate for an instantaneous orientation and height that are different from the initial orientation and height.
Abstract: Testing process for testing hydrocarbon wells at zero emissions in order to obtain general information on a reservoir. The process includes injecting into the reservoir a suitable liquid or gaseous fluid, compatible with the hydrocarbons of the reservoir and with the formation rock, at a constant flow-rate or with constant flow rate steps, and substantially measuring, in continuous, the flow-rate and injection pressure at the well bottom. Then, the well is closed and the pressure is measured during the fall-off period (pressure fall-off). The measured fall-off data is interpreted in order to evaluate the average static pressure of the fluids (Pav) and the reservoir properties including actual permeability (k), transmissivity (kh), areal heterogeneity or permeability barriers and real Skin factor (S). Then, well productivity is calculated.
