  • Publication number: 20040085771
Abstract: A lamp assembly having a lens plate covering the opening and spaced from the lamp. The lens plate is provided with a multiplicity of microlenses such that the lens plate and lamp assembly generates a well defined light cone with a sharp demarcation between the dark region outside the light cone and the illuminated region within the light cone and the illumination within the light cone is homogeneous.

  • Patent number: 6648490
Abstract: A parabolic reflector lighting fixture for use as an in-the-wall or in-the-floor or in-the-ceiling light has its lamp shiftable in a lumen plane perpendicular to the axis of symmetry of the parabolic reflector through the focal point. The parabolic reflector is limited to reflect light only between the intersection of this lumen plane and the reflector and between this intersection and the apex of the reflector.

  • Patent number: 5964523
Abstract: A recessed light fixture adapted to be installed in a hole in a ceiling panel having an exposed lower face and an opposite upper face has a frame bearing on the front face and engaged upward through the hole in the panel and a reflector mounted in the frame generally above the panel. A screw extending along an axis transverse to the panel is axially fixed in the frame above the panel, rotatable about the axis, and has an external screwthread. A retaining pawl is pivotal on the screw above the panel between an outer position projecting outward past the frame and an inner position and is displaceable axially along the screw downward toward the panel and upward away from the panel. A spring engaged between the pawl and the screw couples the pawl to the screw and is positioned to permit the pawl to move axially only downwardly relative to the screw. A cam on the frame forces the pawl into the outer position on downward axial displacement toward the panel.

  • Patent number: 5957565
Abstract: A reflector light has a reflector having a reflective inner surface having an edge defining a ceiling plane and substantially symmetrical to a symmetry plane perpendicular to the ceiling plane and a rear-end compartment bisected by the symmetry plane and remote from the ceiling plane. A lamp or primary light source is provided in the compartment on the symmetry plane. An at least partially light-passing diffuser separate from the reflector and spaced toward the surface from the lamp is substantially symmetrical to the symmetry plane and has a light-emitting flat outer surface directed toward the ceiling plane. The surfaces are shaped such that light emitted by the diffuser surface is reflected by the reflector surface outward in a space symmetrical to the symmetry plane and defined by a family of lines tangenting the reflector edge and traversing the symmetry plane. The diffuser surface lies between the family of lines and the lamp.

  • Patent number: 4543009
Abstract: A connector designed to form a butt joint between two channel profiles, or between one such profile and some other member, comprises an elongate wedge piece with flanks diverging downwardly toward the channel bottom and a spring clip with similarly diverging legs having serrated lower edges and straddling the wedge piece over part of its length. A central web of the spring clip, spacedly overlying the top surface of the wedge piece remote from the channel bottom, terminates in a tongue whose tip enters a slit in that surface which it approaches at an acute angle of inclination.

  • Patent number: 4211460
Abstract: A bus bar with three phase conductors and one neutral conductor is engageable by an adapter in the shape of an elongate plug designed to connect an external circuit across the neutral conductor and a selected phase conductor. The adapter housing contains two parallel shafts A, B each carrying a resilient contact blade, these blades being retracted into the housing in a disengagement position and being extendible by rotation of the respective shaft through 90.degree.. A locking slide between the two shafts prevents rotation of shaft B until shaft A has been rotated to engage its blade with the neutral conductor whereupon shaft B may be rotated, in one of two axial positions, to bring the other blade into contact with the selected phase conductor whereby shaft A is locked in its engagement position. Shaft A also carries tongue-shaped detents which in its engagement position enter grooves in the bus bar to prevent untimely withdrawal of the adapter.
