Publication number: 20070187872Abstract: In a method of compression molding thermoplastic material, a compression gap is set between half-molds of a mold having fixed and movable platens for respective attachment of the half-molds. After setting the compression gap, the mold is closed and the platens are locked by moving locking elements into respective receiving elements. Injection of plasticized material then commences into a cavity formed between the half-molds when the mold is closed. The mold then opens as a result of pressure generated by the injected plasticized material until a distance between the half-molds corresponds to the compression gap. Subsequently, the mold undergoes a closing movement through application of a clamping force, thereby compressing the plasticized material.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 16, 2007Publication date: August 16, 2007Applicant: Demag Ergotech GmbHInventor: UDO BESOLD

Patent number: 7192631Abstract: An ergonomic floormat has particular utility as a surgical mat to decrease musculoskeletal fatigue in humans during prolonged static postural stress, as occurs during standing. The floormat is uniquely designed in a laminated fashion, utilizing bubble shaped closed cellular materials, closed cellular polyethylene foam materials and/or closed cellular polypropylene foam materials. The unique design allows an ergonomically, non-compressible mat, which offers high support and high Indent Force Deflection. The mat is designed for single use only and is completely disposable. The mat is water repellant and anti-static, and can include an anti-skid bottom surface of a low-tack, adhesive material to allow for greater securement to the surgical floor and to prevent slippage.
