Abstract: An electronic control and regulation device for a machine or like apparatus has a plurality of printed circuit boards in a housing, each of the printed circuit boards having interconnected analog and digital circuitry with respective analog and digital terminals. The analog and digital terminals of all of the boards are interconnected respectively by analog and digital conductor bundles, the analog conductor bundle running to the machine or apparatus to be controlled, and serving as well to supply the electric current to the analog part of each printed circuit board.
Abstract: A conveyor belt controller for controlling the variations in the lateral position of a running conveyor belt comprises a regulated stretch of conveyor belt having a guide member, particularly a guide roller, at one end, a controllable guiding mechanism able to laterally displace the conveyor belt when the conveyor belt is shifted from a correct position, and at least one video camera observing the lateral motion of the conveyor belt whose electrical image signal is convertable by a computer into a controlling command for the guiding mechanism. The video camera is mounted upstream from the guide member spaced approximately a distance equal to the length of the regulated stretch. An indicating member is provided in the image field of the video camera for the actual position of the guiding mechanism extending transversely to the guiding mechanism. Advantageously, the indicating member is provided with an indicator light source which is pulsed for more sensitive detection.
Abstract: There is disclosed a device for guiding and spreading out a moving material web, which includes a spreading station, a guide station and at least one edge-sensing system downstream from the guide station. The spreading station is arranged downstream from the guide station, so that very high web speeds can be realized because the web corrections are executed very gently and without whipping up the correcting pulses.
Abstract: An apparatus for recognizing identifications elements provided on moving carriers includes a reader having a reading head and an evaluating or analyzing logic. The carrier which is advanced past the reading head is provided with at least one identification field including a pattern of marks which are made of phosphorescent substance. By being exposed to light emitted from a light source, the identification marks phosphoresce and are read by the reading head after the exposure has taken place.
Abstract: A photo-electric scanning device 1, with tubular housings 2, 3 with light source 15 and receiving element 16 and 17, respectively, arranged transversely and enclosing a web between them. The receiving element 17 cooperates with the light source 15 either according to the reflection principle or the light barrier principle. For light source 15 two receiving elements 16, 17 are provided which are capable of being actuated, of which either the first 16 cooperates with the light source 15 according to the reflection principle or the second 17 according to the light barrier principle. The first receiver 16 is closer to the light source 15 than the second receiving element 17. In this manner, operation is continuous with both receiving elements 16, 17.
Abstract: A control system is used in combination with a tilt-box arrangement for controlling the transverse displacement of a web and having a stationary support frame and a roller frame pivotal on the support frame about a frame axis and carrying at least one roller rotatable about a roller axis transverse to the frame axis. The web is engaged over the roller and moves in a transport direction transverse to the frame axis and to the roller axis. A drive is connected between the support and roller frames and operates to pivotally displace the roller frame in opposite angular directions from a center position with the roll axis perpendicular to the transport direction toward respective end positions and thereby laterally deflect the web engaged by the roller.

Abstract: A marking system for a textile web in production comprises a heat-, water-, and chemical-resistant substrate layer having a front and back face, pigment forming indicia carried on the front face of the layer, and a heat-, water-, and chemical-resistant cover layer formed of a transparent and flexible synthetic resin and embedding the substrate layer and pigment at least over the front face thereof. The cover layer is bonded to the web. The cover layer secures the indicia on the substrate layer and the latter on the web. The pigment is printed on the front face of the substrate which itself is made of glass fibers. The substrate layer is provided on its rear face with a layer bonding it to the web. The bonding layer in turn can be an adhesive, or can be of the same water-, chemical-, and heat-resistant material as the cover layer.
