Abstract: The invention relates to a dental implant consisting of an anchoring body defined between an apical end and a cervical end, wherein said anchoring body is a body having a first predetermined length and, on the outer surface thereof and along the entirety of said first predetermined length, at least one thread, wherein said anchoring body has, over at least a coronal portion, a portion of said at least one thread that has a nominal diameter that is greater than an outer diameter of said anchoring body at a first ratio of 2.00 to 4.00, preferably 2.00 to 3.00.
Abstract: A system for creating and displaying an advertising message on an cord or string. In the preferred embodiment, the system includes a two piece construction made up of an internal gripping sleeve that attaches to the cord or string and a fixture that includes a bore for receiving the sleeve. The bore includes a foam internal surface that permits the fixture to forcibly slid over the internal sleeve but also has a tendency to attach itself to the sleeve when not moved by the user. The external surface of the fixture includes a displayed message.
Abstract: An air permeable laminate having a fastening structure is provided, which includes a fiber web layer having a plurality of holes formed therein, wherein a plurality of fibers of the fiber web layer protrudes from the peripheries of the holes by pulling out the fibers contained in the fiber web layer while the holes are formed in the fiber web layer, and the fiber web layer is served as a fastening structure; and a substrate, wherein at least one surface of the substrate is attached to the fiber web layer.
Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein provide a control device and a method executing thereon for allocating network bandwidth to users accessing a controlled network. In response to a user connecting to the control device using a user device, the control device obtains a user bandwidth allocation profile for that user based on user credentials. The user bandwidth allocation profile may be stored local or remote to the control device. A provisioning module running on the control device can map attributes in the user bandwidth allocation profile to a traffic control rule and associate the traffic control rule with the user based on the user credentials and considering information identifying the user device used by the user to connect to the control device. A traffic conditioning module running on the control device can regulate the network bandwidth usage by the user utilizing the traffic control rule associated with the user.

Abstract: A swing control apparatus for a boom comprising at least one rod attached to an arm, at least one sector gear attached to the arm and a translation gear interconnected with the at least one sector gear wherein, the movement of the rod causes movement of the arm and sector gear, resulting in movement of the translation gear which is translated into an electrical signal to thereby move the boom of the dragline excavator.
Abstract: A hand-held battery powered device senses when it is picked up, and then automatically turns on. When the device is released or set back down, it automatically turns off. Touch or contact sensors sense the touch of a human hand, causing a circuit in the device to switch on a light source, such as an LED, or a motor, or other load. The device is advantageously designed so that when grasped or picked up, the fingers of the user's hand lay over touch sensors. Various types of touch sensors may be used. The touch sensors operate electrically, and without any movement, or moving parts.
