Abstract: Disclosed is a method for transferring cut-out nonwoven material members, the method including feeding a continuous web of a nonwoven material towards cutter and anvil roll, passing the continuous web between the cutter and anvil roll, the cutter roll having knives protruding from the circumferential surface, the knives having an edge with a first outline shape seen in a circumferential direction of the cutter roll, cutting the continuous web thereby forming cut-out nonwoven material members having a second outline shape corresponding to the first outline shape of the respective edge of the knives, and transferring the cut-out members to a vacuum roll having an outer circumferential surface that includes a plurality of vacuum ports arranged in a pattern, the pattern including pattern units each having a third outline shape, the pattern units fitting within the second outline shape of the cut-out members.

Abstract: An absorbent article includes a first body portion, a second body portion and a crotch portion located between the first body portion and the second body portion. At least one of the first body portion or the second body portion includes at least one side panel having a multilayered portion. The multilayered portion includes at least a first layer and a second layer. The multilayered portion is obtained by folding the at least one side panel. The first and the second layer of the multilayered portion are connected to each other and the multilayered portion is provided with surface protrusions at one surface of the multilayered portion. The surface protrusions are integrally made of material of the multilayered portion. Furthermore, the disclosure relates to manufacturing such an absorbent article.

Abstract: A dispenser is provided for dispensing a hygiene product. The dispenser includes, comprising a time-of-flight sensor for measuring a position of an object relative to the dispenser; and a controller configured to selectively operate at least one function of the dispenser based on the measured position of the object relative to the dispenser. A method of operating at least one function of a dispenser for dispensing a hygiene product is also provided. The method includes measuring with a time-of-flight sensor a position of an object relative to the dispenser; and using a controller to selectively operate the at least one function of the dispenser based on the measured position of the object relative to the dispenser.

Abstract: A flexographic printing device and a method are provided for simultaneously printing at least two material webs having different thicknesses in the printing device. The flexographic printing device includes a printing unit having a printing roller carrying on a surface thereof an image to be printed, an impression roller and an anilox roller adapted to feed printing ink from a printing ink chamber onto a printing cliché mounted on the printing roller. The printing unit is configured for simultaneously printing the material webs having different thicknesses, by adjusting the radial extension of the surface of the printing roller, impression cylinder and/or anilox roller to be adapted to the respective material web to be printed.

Abstract: An adaptor assembly for use in a dispenser for a replaceable fluid container comprising a fluid pump. The adapter assembly is used in the dispenser to allow using a fluid container having a pump being actuated by laterally compressing it. The adaptor assembly comprises a fluid container support for supporting the fluid container in a desired position in the dispenser and actuation parts having actuation heads being movable between non-actuated and actuated positions. The actuation heads have contact surfaces for abutting dolly surfaces and the pump. The contact surfaces abut against the dolly surfaces in the non-actuated and actuated positions. A moving part is displaceable between a lower and upper position. A horizontal plane through the actuation heads in their fully actuated positions intersects portions of the dolly surfaces that are in contact with the contact surfaces. A fluid dispensing system and a dispenser are also disclosed.

Abstract: A process and an apparatus for producing nonwoven materials are disclosed. The process includes the following steps: a) providing a three-phase (gas-liquid-solid) suspension containing air, water, fibrous material and a surfactant, b) depositing the suspension onto a moving carrier sieve to produce a fibrous web on the carrier sieve, c) removing aqueous residue of the suspension through the carrier sieve, d) conveying the aqueous residue through one or more phase separation tanks in an essentially horizontal direction while providing a depressurised headspace above the aqueous residue, e) recycling the aqueous residue conveyed in step d) to step a), f) preferably pre-integrating the fibrous web.

Abstract: An absorbent article comprises an absorbent core sandwiched between a liquid-permeable topsheet and a liquid-impermeable backsheet, wherein the absorbent core includes an absorbent component enclosed by a core cover including an upper side and a lower side, each side having a body facing surface and a garment facing surface, and a sealing arrangement for joining the upper and lower sides and including two channel sealings in the crotch portion defining a first channel sealing width and a second channel sealing width. The channel sealings are formed by an ultrasonic welding pattern including a plurality of welding spots and the garment facing surface of the upper core cover side and the body facing surface of the lower core cover side are coated with adhesive, provided that the areas of the channel sealings are free from adhesive.

In the disclosure, resource usage data relating to a location in the facility is received via a first communications channel. A criterion associated with a predetermined usage event is applied to the resource usage data to identify usage data associated with a predetermined usage event. On the basis of the identification, data indicating the occurrence of the predetermined usage event is transmitted via a second communications channel. Thereby, the amount of data needed to be transmitted via the second communications channel may be reduced.
