Abstract: A waste bin comprises a sorting space for sorting waste paper products from other types of waste, a movable separation element comprising a plurality of openings, a physical property sensing mechanism for detecting a physical property of waste received in the sorting space, a removal element for moving waste from the sorting space to a waste paper product compartment, and a control for controlling the movable separation element and the removal element. The movable separation element is configured to move upon the application of an external force exceeding a threshold value. The control is configured to operate the removal element or the movable separation element, based on a detection result of the physical property sensing mechanism. Further, a method of sorting waste paper products from other types of waste in such a waste bin is provided.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an absorbent article comprising a liquid permeable topsheet, a liquid-impermeable backsheet and an absorbent core positioned between the topsheet and the backsheet. The absorbent article comprises pressure sensitive adhesive on a garment facing surface of the backsheet, and the backsheet is a breathable polyolefin-based film and has a Water Vapour Transmission Rate measured according to NWSP 070.4.RO (15) of at least 1000 g/m2/24 h, preferably at least 3000 g/m2/24 h, and a tear resistance measured according to Elmendorf Tear ASTM D1922 (15) of at least 300 mN.

Abstract: A belted disposable article includes a chassis including a first covering layer having a first surface intended to face towards the user, the article further comprising a pair of belt portions. The first belt portion has a free end which carries a fastener adapted to be attached to an exterior surface of the other of the belt portions. The first and second belt portions being folded over the first surface to form a folded belt configuration prior to use of said article, whereby the first belt portion is arranged on top of the second belt portion. In addition, a belt-opening trigger zone is disposed on the first belt portion and arranged adjacent the free end of the first belt portion.

Abstract: A package has an outer enclosure enclosing absorbent units and being at least partially non-opaque, wherein said outer enclosure has a thickness which is less than 70 ?m, and wherein the outer enclosure is at least partly of a first predetermined colour and the absorbent units are at least partly of a second predetermined colour as viewed through the outer enclosure. The absorbent units have at least one lightly coloured or light grey area and the outer enclosure has a dominant area covering a substantial part of the area of the outer enclosure and having a lightness value above 75, and the colour difference between the dominant area and the lightly coloured or light grey area as seen through the outer enclosure is chosen so that the absorbent units are generally not visible through the outer enclosure.

Abstract: A tissue paper refill for a tissue paper dispenser. The refill includes a web of tissue paper having a leading end and a trailing end for engagement with the trailing end and leading end respectively of a previous and subsequent refill. The web is provided with a mechanical connector at one or both of its ends to realize such engagement. The mechanical connector is water soluble for the purpose of tissue recovery. Also, a method of tissue recovery.

Abstract: Dispenser for dispensing sheet products stacked in a stacking direction comprising a housing having first opposite side walls and second opposite side walls defining an interior space configured to accommodate the stack of the sheet products, the housing defining a dispensing opening at a front end of the first and second opposite side walls, and an engagement surface arranged at a front end portion of each of the first opposite side walls closer to one of the second opposite side walls than to the other of the second opposite side walls, wherein the engagement surfaces are engageable with respective opposite edges of the sheet products and extend in the stacking direction.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a disposable hygiene article comprising first and second compression lines in a forward region of the article. The article has a core with a first area which has its narrowest width (M) in the transverse direction (x) in a front portion or at a location of a transition between the front portion and a crotch portion of the article. The absorbent core in the crotch portion comprises the first and second compression lines, which are separated from each other at their closest point by a minimum distance D1, measured in the transverse direction.

Abstract: An absorbent article including an absorbent core arranged between a topsheet and a backsheet, the absorbent article having a longitudinal axis and a transversal axis extending in a perpendicular direction in relation to the longitudinal axis, the absorbent article having a front portion, a back portion and a crotch portion there between, and at least one wetness indicator, wherein at least one first wetness indicator is arranged in the front portion and/or the back portion. Furthermore, the absorbent article includes at least one permanent visual element arranged in the crotch portion, and the permanent visual element mimics the visual appearance of the wetness indicator.

Abstract: The absorbent article as disclosed herein has longitudinal side edges extending in a longitudinal direction and transverse front and rear end edges extending in a transverse direction. The absorbent article comprises a fluid permeable surface layer, a backsheet and an intermediate layer located between the fluid permeable surface layer and the backsheet. The surface layer has a wearer-facing portion facing the user during use. The surface layer is an air through bonded fibrous nonwoven surface layer having a basis weight of from 14 to 30 g/m2 and a density of from 20 to 90 kg/m3. The intermediate layer extends under from 70 to 100% of the wearer-facing portion of the surface layer. The intermediate layer and the surface layer have a respective elongation at 10 N/50 mm. The elongation of the intermediate layer is lower than the elongation of the surface layer.

Abstract: A method is disclosed for forming a tissue bundle from a stack of folded absorbent tissues. The method includes the steps of forming a stack of folded absorbent tissues; compressing the stack to an initial density in a first compression step; wrapping the stack a first time in a supporting wrapper to form an initial bundle and maintain the initial density; subsequently applying a second compression step to compress the stack to a final density that is higher than the initial density; and wrapping the stack a second time to form a final bundle and to maintain the final density.

The absorbent material exhibits an absorbency speed of equal to or less than 2 s and a weight loss when washed of equal to or less than 5%. The absorbent material can be incorporated into a wipe.

Abstract: A disposable wearable absorbent article comprises a chassis having an absorbent core and first and second side panels extending transversally outwards towards respective outer edges. Each of the first and second side panels comprises a mechanical fastening material affixed to an outer end portion of the panel whereby, in use, the first and second side panels can extend around a user's waist to couple the first and second side panels to the chassis. Each of the side panels is gathered in a longitudinal direction to form at least one pleat extending in the transverse direction, and comprises a binding material affixed to respective side panels to maintain each of the first and second side panels in a gathered configuration. A method for forming disposable wearable absorbent articles is also disclosed.

The absorbent core has a varying thickness profile as seen in the longitudinal direction, with the intermediate portion having a first thickness under a load of 0.5 kPa and a first compressed thickness under a load of 2.5 kPa. The rear and front portions each have a second thickness under a load of 0.5 kPa and a second compressed thickness under a load of 2.5 kPa, wherein the second thickness is from 37% to 15% of the first thickness, the second compressed thickness is from 37% to 15% of the first compressed thickness and a ratio between the first and the second compressed thickness under a load of 2.5 kPa is equal or greater than a ratio between the first and the second thickness, under a load of 0.5 kPa.

Abstract: The incontinence pad comprises a fluid permeable topsheet, a backsheet and an absorbent core being located between the topsheet and the backsheet. The absorbent core comprises a first core layer and a fluid control layer. The first core layer comprises 100 gsm superabsorbent material or more. The absorbent core has a varying thickness profile as seen in the longitudinal direction (L), with a first thickness (T1) in the intermediate portion and a second thickness (T2) in the rear portion. The first thickness (T1) in the intermediate portion is from 9 mm or more and the second thickness (T2) is 4 mm or less, as measured under a load of load of 0.5 kPa. The region which has the second thickness (T2) extends 30 mm or more in the longitudinal direction (L) from the core rear edge and toward the core front edge.
