Abstract: A separation unit is provided for separating a web material having a web width along preformed lines of weakness. The separation unit includes at least a first shaft extending along a first longitudinal axis and at least a second shaft extending along a second longitudinal axis in parallel with the first shaft. The separation unit also includes at least one first protrusion element extending perpendicularly from the first shaft and being arranged to be rotatable about the first longitudinal axis, and at least one second protrusion element extending perpendicularly from the second shaft and being arranged to be rotatable about the second longitudinal axis. The separation unit further includes at least one contact element being arranged in biased abutment against at least one of the first and second protrusion elements in a direction perpendicular to the first or second longitudinal axis.

Abstract: An absorbent article having a front panel, a rear panel, an intermediate panel joining the front and the rear panels and optionally one or more fitting components is provided. At least one of the panels and/or the fitting components is elastically contractible and made of an elastic nonwoven material that is pre-stretched and has both non-elastic and elastic polymeric material components in the form of fibers. The nonwoven material is bonded by individual bonding points arranged in a pattern. The pattern has rows of individual bonding points extending in a machine-direction and a cross-direction of the nonwoven material, and each has a centre point. The centre point of each bonding point in a row of bonding points extending in the cross-direction and/or machine-direction is offset from a centre point of each bonding point in a neighbouring row of bonding points extending in the cross-direction and/or in the machine-direction, respectively.

Abstract: A napkin is provided with an adhering portion and a releasing portion that can releasably adhere together. The adhering portion is located on an upper side of the napkin and the releasing portion is located on the lower side at a corresponding position such that the napkin can be stacked with similar napkins with the releasing portion of a first napkin aligned and engaged with the adhering portion of a second napkin. The napkin has an engaging location on its lower side such that the napkin can be wrapped around items of cutlery and secured to form a wrap by engaging the adhering portion with the engaging location. A method of wrapping cutlery using the napkin is also provided.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a disposable hygiene article comprising a pair of curved compression lines in a rear portion of the article. The article has a core with a first region which has its narrowest width (M) in the transverse direction (x) in a front portion or at a location of a transition between the front portion and a crotch portion of the article. The absorbent core in the rear portion comprises the first (L1, R1) and second (L2, R2) pairs of rear compression lines, which extend in a longitudinal direction (y) between respective front and rear endpoints. A transverse distance (G3min) separates the rear endpoints of the pair of compression lines whilst a second, larger distance (G3max) separates the front endpoints of the compression lines.
