Patent number: 4312079Abstract: A femur head cap for endoprosthesis possessing a spherical shape and having a recess for partially receiving the femur head, the recess being open toward the neck of the femur. The cap is advantageous in that it can be firmly anchored to avoid rotation and tilting without the use of bone cement and further allows for simple resection to be performed so that supply of blood to the bone is not impaired.Type: GrantFiled: March 31, 1980Date of Patent: January 26, 1982Assignee: Feldmuhle AktiengesellschaftInventors: Erhard Dorre, Peter Prussner, Ludwig Zichner

Patent number: 4236998Abstract: In removing impurities, such as printing inks, binders, fiber fragments and pigments, from a fibrous suspension of waste paper containing water, the fibrous suspension is directed downwardly over an inclined sieve for removing the impurities through the sieve. In its length direction between its upper and lower ends, the sieve is divided into a number of individual sections. A triangularly shaped groove-like trough is located between the lower end of one section and the upper end of the next downwardly adjacent section. The trough extends transversely of the length of the sieve and is shaped to provide a swirling movement to the suspension flowing into the trough. At the outlet from the trough a flow-stemming device is provided for affording the uniform level of the suspension as it flows over the next section of the sieve.Type: GrantFiled: March 1, 1979Date of Patent: December 2, 1980Assignee: Feldmuhle AktiengesellschaftInventor: Karel A. G. Heys

Patent number: 4218253Abstract: The ductility of sintered bodies of alumina and like hard substances can be improved without loss in mechanical strength by uniformly distributed individual particles of tetragonal zirconia or hafnia in amounts of 1%-50% by volume if the dispersed particles have an average size of 0.05 to 2 .mu.m.Type: GrantFiled: October 2, 1978Date of Patent: August 19, 1980Assignee: Feldmuhle AktiengesellschaftInventors: Ulf Dworak, Hans Olapinski

Patent number: 4195470Abstract: In a false twisting apparatus in which the yarn to be twisted passes between parallel, rotating shafts carrying axially spaced friction disks which radially overlap disks on the other shafts, the yarn-engaging circumferential faces of the disks are surfaces of rotation about the shaft axes and arcuately connect respective radially extending, axially spaced end faces of the disks, each face having a yarn feed region and a yarn delivery region, the regions being annular about the axis of rotation and axially juxtaposed, the yarn feed region consisting essentially of aluminum, zirconium, or titanium oxide and having a surface roughness greater than the surface roughness of the yarn delivery region.Type: GrantFiled: February 22, 1978Date of Patent: April 1, 1980Assignee: Feldmuhle AktiengesellschaftInventor: Hans Sturhahn

Patent number: 4191403Abstract: In a donor material for carbonless copying which mainly consists of a carrier sheet and a multiplicity of frangible microcapsules containing a suitable dye precursor in a liquid medium and secured to one face of the sheet, spacer particles of soybean protein are interspersed in a relatively small amount between the microcapsules and project beyond the microcapsules away from the carrier sheet to protect the microcapsules against premature fracture.Type: GrantFiled: September 13, 1978Date of Patent: March 4, 1980Assignee: Feldmuhle AktiengesellschaftInventors: Guido Dessauer, Kurt Riecke, Ferdinand Land

Patent number: 4158338Abstract: A wall panel consisting of two laminar units each including a core layer of particulate, sintered, aluminum oxide, a perforated metal shell enveloping the layer, and a continuous mass consisting essentially of elastomeric material enveloping the shell and extending into the layer through the perforations of the shell. The mass bonds the particles in the layer to each other and to the shell, and the two masses constitute a unitary body connecting the shells in a position in which the core layer of one unit projects beyond the core layer of the other unit so as to define a rabbet. Two such panels may engage each other in a rabbet joint in which the projecting core layer parts are spacedly superimposed on each other to provide a burglar resistant connection between the panels which themselves are difficult to penetrate by burglar's tools.Type: GrantFiled: October 7, 1977Date of Patent: June 19, 1979Assignee: Feldmuhle AktiengesellschaftInventors: Johann Dippold, Wolf VON Tirpitz

Patent number: 4136604Abstract: The individual cardboard box blanks of strings of blanks connected by scored, frangible bridge portions are separated by stacking the multiple blanks, clamping the stack of leading individual blanks to a vibratory support and the stack of the remainder of the blanks to a stationary feed table in such a position that the connecting bridge portions are free to flex and ultimately break when the support is oscillated about a position in which the blank-carrying surfaces of the support and of the table are spacedly aligned in a common plane.Type: GrantFiled: August 30, 1977Date of Patent: January 30, 1979Assignee: Feldmuhle AktiengesellschaftInventor: Hugo Schmidt

Patent number: 4131710Abstract: A recording sheet consisting mainly of fibrous material is capable of displaying a colored image when contacted under pressure with substantially colorless crystal violet lactone and similar dye precursors if at least 3% of the fibrous material is constituted by uniformly distributed asbestos fibers. Sheets having adequate strength for carbonless copying should not contain more than 30% asbestos fibers. Stronger colors are obtained if the sheet further contains a mixture of .gamma.-alumina and .gamma.-alumina precursors in an amount of 2% to 20% of the weight of the fibrous material, the mixture containing 1% to 30% water volatile at 1000.degree. C, and being converted substantially entirely to .gamma.-alumina when heated from 300.degree. to 1000.degree. C.Type: GrantFiled: January 18, 1977Date of Patent: December 26, 1978Assignee: Feldmuhle AktiengesellschaftInventors: Guido Dessauer, Kurt Ramlow, Kurt Riecke, Franz Wirnitzer

Patent number: 4109048Abstract: A mixture of .gamma.-alumina and its precursors containing 1 to 30% water volatile at 1000.degree. C converts normally colorless dye materials such as crystal violet lactone, malachite green lactone, benzoyl leuco methylene blue and N-phenylleukauramine to the corresponding colored dyes upon contact, and improves the results achieved with recording material consisting essentially of a fibrous web and a pigment composition secured to the fibers of the web if the mixture amounts to at least 10% of the weight of the pigment composition. Particularly strong and stable colors are produced if the fibrous web is coated with a pigment composition prepared from an aqueous dispersion of the mixture and other pigments on which a basic compound is deposited from a water-soluble zinc salt by means of hydroxyl ions.Type: GrantFiled: January 18, 1977Date of Patent: August 22, 1978Assignee: Feldmuhle AktiengesellschaftInventors: Guido Dessauer, Kurt Ramlow, Kurt Riecke, Franz Wirnitzer
