    Abstract: In a lock for sliding door, window or like closure the slider has on its face adjacent the outside wall of the casing a member projecting a predetermined distance which projects through the slot in the locked position of the slider and abuts against the edge surface of the outside wall defining the longitudinal end of the slot. A return spring between the slider and the casing spring-loads the slider towards the outside wall of the casing but allows movement of the slider in the direction perpendicular to the outside wall over a distance at least equal to the predetermined distance.

    Abstract: An adjustable hinge assembly is comprised of a track to which is secured a slide member. A sash arm is secured at one end to the slide member and all along to a horizontal rail of a hinged window sash. A support arm is pivotally connected to the sash arm at one end thereof and pivotally connected to an adjustable connector at the other end. The improvement resides in the construction of the adjustable connector which is comprised of a stationary connecting post extending from a concentric circular disc and about which is positioned an adjustable nut. The nut is connected to the free end of the support arm and the top portion of the post is secured to the support arm by a sliding clip which is easily engaged and disengaged. Both the adjustable nut and the post are constructed from brass making them self-lubricating. The nut is also positioned in tight fit over the post whereby, when the nut is rotated to a desired position to adjust the position of the support arm, it will maintain the said position.

    Abstract: Methods of making an inspection fixture to assess the accuracy of a manufactured, bent tube or tube assembly are disclosed. Coordinates of end points, intersection points, and other points of interest of the bent tubular part are provided to a CAD system. The coordinates are connected by a centerline. The centerline is projected onto an X-Y plane and widened. The projected centerline is extruded in the Z direction. The resulting three-dimensional extrusion is unfolded to form a flat pattern for a tube run. The process is repeated until flat patterns for the parts of a tube fixture are created. The resulting flat patterns are provided to a computer-controlled laser cutting machine. The inspection fixture parts are cut by the laser cutting machine and bent to their final shape in accordance with bend angle information generated from the three-dimensional extrusion in the CAD system. The bent parts are assembled on a base plate and welded together to form the inspection fixture.

The mounting mechanism enables the casing to rock within the slot.

The fitting includes a plug to blank off the orifice.
