  • Patent number: 9711990
Abstract: The power regulation control circuit is implemented during two modes. A first mode is a sleep mode and a second mode is a wake-up mode. During the sleep mode, the power supply detects a no-load presence and artificially increases the output voltage Vout to its maximum allowable value. In some embodiments, this is accomplished by pulling up an output of a error amplifier that feeds a PWM module. During the wake-up mode when the power supply wakes up from the sleep mode under maximum load, the output voltage Vout sinks from the artificially higher voltage, but still stays above a minimum operational voltage level. A slew rate compensation can be implemented to control a rate at which the output voltage drops when a load is applied. The artificially high output voltage during no-load condition and the slew rate compensation provide open loop voltage adjustment.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for sealing components of a front half camera module subassembly is described herein. The camera may be used in an automotive camera, which includes but is not limited to automotive rear-view cameras. A glue bead seal may be applied to the front half camera housing to which a camera lens may be attached. Then a glue bead seal may be applied to the other side of the front half camera housing to which a printed circuit board (PCB) is attached. As a result, the seals protect the lens inside optical surface and image sensor located between the camera lens and PCB from the outside environment. The lens inside optical surface and image sensor and PCB may be tested, calibrated, or have other assembly sequences completed outside of a clean room. Alignment of the PCB and lens inside optical surface and image sensor is also secured.

  • Patent number: 9699902
Abstract: A printed circuit board is formed from a plurality of thinner PCBs stacked on top of each other with an intermediate metal interconnect material selectively positioned between adjacent PCBs. The metal interconnect material is selectively positioned on surface contact points of correspondingly aligned plated through holes on the adjacent printed circuit boards. The stacked printed circuit boards and intermediate metal interconnect material are laminated, thereby sintering the metal interconnect material and the surface contact points of the plated through holes to form electrical interconnects between plated through holes on adjacent printed circuit boards. The metal interconnect material is preferably the same as the plating material used to plate the through holes, such as copper.

  • Patent number: 9674949
Abstract: A stretchable wire assembly includes a metal wire coupled between two elastic substrates. The two elastic substrates are selectively coupled together, and the metal wire is attached to one or both elastic substrates at select locations. The form of the metal wire is such that when the elastic substrates are in a relaxed, or non-stretched, state the metal wire forms a tortuous path, such as a waveform, along the coupled elastic substrates. The tortuous path of the metal wire provides slack such that as the elastic substrates are stretched the slack is taken up. Once released, the elastic substrates move from the stretched position to the relaxed, non-stretched position, and slack is reintroduced into the metal wire in the form of the original tortuous path.

  • Patent number: 9671032
Abstract: A method for characterizing a fluid control solenoid with current compensation is described. A current command is sent to the fluid control solenoid. The current command indicates a desired current value related to a desired fluid output pressure to be applied to the solenoid. An actual fluid output pressure is measured at a valve associated with the fluid control solenoid for the desired current value applied to the solenoid. An actual current received value at the fluid control solenoid is also measured. Post processing is then applied. A compensated current value related to the actual fluid output pressure is determined based on a difference between the current command and the actual current received value. Methods for dynamic current compensation are also described.

  • Patent number: 9661756
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to nano-copper pillar interconnects. Nano-copper material is a mixture of nano-copper particles and one or more organic fluxes. In some embodiments, the one or more organic fluxes include organic solvents that help bind the nano-copper particles together and allow the nano-copper material to be printable. The nano-copper material is applied onto bond pads on a printed circuit board (PCB) via a printing process, a dipping process or the like, to form nano-copper covered PCB bond pads. A component can thereafter be coupled with the PCB at the nano-copper covered PCB bond pads. What is left when the solvents evaporate are nano-copper pillar interconnects that form, coupling the component with the PCB bond pads. The nano-copper pillar interconnects are of pure copper.
