Abstract: A damaged portion of a vehicle windshield in an area near a transparent display (TD) of a head up display (HUD) may be treated with a resin. The treated portion may introduce brightness artifacts into an image projected onto the TD. To compensate images projected onto the TD for the brightness artifacts, first pixel intensity adjustment values are received via a touchscreen. Pixels of a reference image are adjusted in accordance with the first pixel intensity adjustment values to provide a reference compensated image which, when projected by a projector of the head up display (HUD) system onto the TD, counters effects of spatially varying reflectance properties of treated portion of the windshield which would otherwise appear were the reference image displayed on the TD without compensation.

Abstract: This document discloses system, method, and computer program product embodiments for mitigating the addition of false object information to a track that provides a spatial description of an object, such as a track of radar data or lidar data. The system will analyze two or more frames captured in a relatively small time period and determine whether one or more parameters of an object detected in the frames remain consistent in a specified model. Models that the system may consider include a constant velocity model, a surface model, a constant speed rate model or a constant course rate model. If one or more parameters of the detected object are not consistent over the sequential frames in the specified model, the system may prune the track to exclude one or more of the sequential frames from the track.
Abstract: A vehicle battery system includes a battery, storage, and one or more controllers. The storage maintains data defining power outputs for the battery at a plurality of predefined combinations of temperature and state of charge. The one or more controllers repeatedly update the data for some of the plurality based on temperatures and states of charge repeatedly encountered by the vehicle, update the data for other of the plurality based on data from a remote server, and discharge the battery according to the data for the some and other of the plurality.
