Abstract: A method of refining a microstructure of a titanium material can include providing a solid titanium material at a temperature below about 400° C. The titanium material can be heated under a hydrogen-containing atmosphere to a hydrogen charging temperature that is above a ? transus temperature of the titanium material and below a melting temperature of the titanium material, and held at this temperature for a time sufficient to convert the titanium material to a substantially homogeneous ? phase. The titanium material can be cooled under the hydrogen-containing atmosphere to a phase transformation temperature below the ? transus temperature and above about 400° C., and held for a time to produce a phase regions. The titanium material can also be held under a substantially hydrogen-free atmosphere or vacuum at a dehydrogenation temperature below the ? transus temperature and above the ? phase decomposition temperature to remove hydrogen from the titanium material.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are a video processing method, apparatus and storage medium using the resolution of a reference picture. Filtering is performed based on resolutions of reference pictures of blocks forming a boundary. The resolutions of the reference pictures may define filtering. Depending on whether the resolutions of the reference pictures are different from each other, one or more filter selection parameters for filtering may be determined or updated. Further, based on whether the resolutions of the reference pictures are different from each other, the boundary strength of the filter may be determined. Because filtering is defined using the resolutions of reference pictures, performance of encoding and/or decoding may be improved.

Abstract: A system and method for dynamically deactivating engine cylinders of an engine equipped with a cylinder deactivation system, where the system and method control torsional vibration in the engine while deactivating cylinders using a computer programed with a desired firing density and a controlled range of engine vibration frequencies. The computer dynamically determines a cylinder firing pattern that provides the desired firing density while optimizing a cost function norm in the controlled range of engine vibration frequencies. Abstract: The present invention relates to a transgenic animal in which APEX2 is specifically expressed in a mitochondrial matrix and to uses thereof. When the transgenic animal according to the present invention is used, it is possible to overcome the limitation of being susceptible to contamination with proteins derived from other organelles or other tissue cells in existing mitochondrial proteomic studies.
