Abstract: A capacitor having a stem that is designed to be inserted into a single, large-diameter via hole drilled in a printed circuit board is provided, wherein the stem may have conductive rings for making the positive and negative connections to the printed circuit board power distribution planes. Inside the capacitive stem, current, or at least a portion thereof, may be carried to the main body of the capacitor through low-inductance plates that are interleaved to maximize their own mutual inductance and, therefore, minimize the connection inductance. Alternatively, the capacitor may include a coaxial stem that forms a coaxial transmission line with the anode and cathode terminals forming the inner and outer conductors.

Abstract: Highly active and stable platinum-copper (PtCu) electrocatalysts are provided. The PtCu catalysts can be in the form of discrete, spherical PtCu nanoparticles that include a particle interior comprising platinum and copper, and a surface layer comprising platinum surrounding the particle interior. The PtCu nanoparticles can exhibit enhanced oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) activity as compared to other Pt-based catalysts for ORR. The PtCu nanoparticles are also active as electrocatalysts for the oxidation of small molecule organic compounds, including alcohols such as methanol and ethanol.
Abstract: We present a method for parallel axial imaging, or z-microscopy, utilizing an array of tilted micro mirrors arranged along the axial direction. Image signals emitted from different axial positions can be orthogonally reflected by the corresponding micro mirrors and spatially separated for parallel detection, essentially converting the more challenging axial imaging to a lateral imaging problem. Each micro mirror also provides optical sectioning capability due to its finite dimension.
Abstract: A method of searching a corpus including a plurality of files includes automatically determining, using a processor, a historical ranking for each file using respective changeset information. Search term(s) of a query are received. A textual ranking is determined for each file using the search term(s) and contents of that file. The historical and textual rankings are combined to provide a result ranking. A data processing system includes a storage system storing the corpus including the plurality of files, a processor configured to determine the result rankings, and a user interface system configured to receive query results from the processor and present them to a user.
Abstract: A dynamic library profiling method and a dynamic library profiling system including writing a first break point instruction at a start address of a dynamic library function, recording a first event count value that is a process performance management unit (PMU) count when a target process executes the first break point instruction, writing a second break point instruction to a return address of the dynamic library function, and calculating a PMU count generated in a processor core while the dynamic library function is executed, by comparing the recorded first event count value with a second event count value that is a process PMU count when the target process executes the second break point instruction, wherein the process PMU count is a cumulative value of PMU counts generated in the processor core while the target process is executed.

Abstract: A network broadcast method using a MAC unicast and an MPR node allows a source node to transmit a data packet to at least one MPR node which is located within one-hop distance from the source node and allows the at least one MPR node to transmit the data packet to each next-ranked MPR nodes. At least one normal node, which is not an MPR node while being located within one-hop distance from the source node, receives the data packet of the source node, which is transferred from the source node to an MPR node or transferred between MPR nodes through overhearing. Although the source node and MPR nodes are in a hidden-node relationship, collision is prevented, thereby minimizing data packet loss to improve the transmission reliability, and enabling the data packet of the source node to be reliably broadcasted on a network.
