The support member defines a plurality of receiving grooves each with an angled bottom surface. The key strips are received in the receiving grooves. The elastic members are received in the receiving grooves, and each elastic member abuts a corresponding key strip providing a biasing force to extend a portion of the key strips from the receiving groove.

Abstract: A portable electronic device has various functions such as mobile communication, multimedia entertainment, and data processing. The device includes a main body installed with two keyboards and two slide rails, and two sub-bodies respectively equipped with a display. The sub-bodies are pivoted to each other and rotate through a shaft, and slide along slide rails through connecting members on the main body respectively. Therefore, the sub-bodies can be lifted relative to the main body through the shaft and the connecting members, so as to be optionally drawn close to the main body with the two displays facing the same direction, or to stand on the main body with the two displays facing opposite directions. Therefore, two different operating modes are achieved.

Abstract: A vehicle navigation system and navigation method thereof are disclosed. The vehicle navigation system comprises a location detector to acquire a current location of a vehicle, a calculation unit to calculate a navigation route from a departure location to a destination, a database including map data and a plurality of restrictions associated with restricted sites on the map data, the calculation unit calculates a navigation route from the departure location to the destination based on the map data and the plurality of restrictions. Thus, the vehicle navigation system may provide the navigation route excluding sites with possible restriction applied thereto.

The method further include reading the address from the RFID tag by the second electronic device, and establishing a BT connection between the second electronic device and the first electronic device according to the address.

Abstract: A communication system for emergency transmissions and method thereof are disclosed. The communication system comprises a determination unit, a location detector, a message unit, and a wireless transceiver. The determination unit calculates an earthquake magnitude of an earthquake detected by a sensor, and determines whether the earthquake magnitude reaches a default threshold magnitude. The location detector acquires a coordinate of an earthquake location when the earthquake magnitude reaches the default threshold magnitude. The message unit then generates an emergency message embodying the coordinate of the earthquake location. The wireless transceiver then transmits the emergency message to at least one emergency center.

Abstract: An electronic device allowing changing of a display background thereof obtains a current location from a navigation device. An image associated with the current location is sought in a memory system, in response to a determination that the current location does not match a location associated with the current display background displayed on a display device. The current display background is replaced with the located image.

Abstract: A mobile phone includes a subscriber identity module (SIM) card, a SIM application toolkit (STK) driver, a STK interface and a user interface. The STK interface sends a selection command to the SIM card via the STK driver. The SIM card generates an input command according to the selection command, and sends the input command to the user interface via the STK driver. The user interface displays an input box on a display screen for receiving a user-inputted recipient phone number of a recipient mobile device according to the input command. The STK driver sends the multimedia messaging service (MMS) message to the recipient mobile device according to the recipient phone number if the message is an SMS message, and sends the short messaging service (SMS) message to the recipient mobile device according to the recipient phone number if the message is an MMS message.

Abstract: A site monitoring system and a method connected with a electronic device applicable for a sleeping baby in a crib are disclosed. The electronic device includes a camera, an acceleration sensor, and a processor. The system sets a first threshold value to detect a motion of the crib and sets a second threshold value to determine whether the baby is awake. The system receives an acceleration value of the motion of the crib from the acceleration sensor and activates the camera to capture an image if the acceleration value exceeds the first threshold value. The system detects a face zone of a captured image and locates an eye area in the face zone then calculating a ratio of height and width of the eye area and compares the ratio to the second threshold value. The system instructs the electronic device to dial a predefined warning number automatically if the ratio of height and width of the eye area exceeds the second threshold value.

The local mobile terminal downloads time zone information of the long distance mobile terminal from the database by connecting to the NSS or the Internet work so as to determine local time of the long distance mobile terminal based on the time zone information.

Abstract: A multiband antenna includes a radio unit and a base circuit board. The radio unit includes a first radio member and a second radio member connected to the first radio member.
