  • Patent number: 7505007
Abstract: Antennae in which the corresponding radiative element contains at least one multilevel structure formed by a set of similar geometric elements (polygons or polyhedrons) electromagnetically coupled and grouped such that in the structure of the antenna can be identified each of the basic component elements. The design is such that it provides two important advantages: the antenna may operate simultaneously in several frequencies, and/or its size can be substantially reduced. Thus, a multiband radioelectric behavior is achieved, that is, a similar behavior for different frequency bands.

  • Patent number: 7486242
Abstract: The present invention relates generally to a new family of antennas with a multiband behaviour and a reduced size. The general configuration of the antenna consists of a multilevel structure which provides the multiband behaviour, combined with a multilevel and/or space-filling ground-plane. The multilevel structure consists of two arms of different length that follow a winding parallel path spaced by a winding parallel gap (parallel to the arms) with a substantially similar shape as each of said arms, that is, with a similar winding path as the arms. The resulting antenna covers the major current and future wireless services, opening this way a wide range of possibilities in the design of universal, multi-purpose, wireless terminals and devices.

  • Patent number: 7471246
Abstract: The invention refers to a new type of multihole antenna which is mainly suitable for mobile communications or in general to any other application where the integration of telecom systems or applications in a single antenna is important. The antenna consists of a radiating element which at least includes one hole. By means of this configuration, the antenna provides a broadband and multiband performance, and hence it features a similar behaviour through different frequency bands. Also, the antenna features a smaller size with respect to other prior art antennas operating at the same frequency.

  • Patent number: 7456792
Abstract: The present invention relates to a handset and generally of any handheld device, which includes an antenna for receiving and transmitting electromagnetic wave signals. More in particular, the invention is related to handsets of the clamshell or flip-phone type. • Patent number: 7439923
Abstract: The present invention relates generally to a new family of antennas with a multiband behavior, so that the frequency bands of the antenna can be tuned simultaneously to the main existing wireless services. In particular, the invention consists of shaping at least one of the gaps between some of the polygons of the multilevel structure in the form of a non-straight curve, shaped in such a way that the whole gap length is increased yet keeping its size and the same overall antenna size. Such a configuration allows an effective tuning of the frequency bands of the antenna, such that with the same overall antenna size, said antenna can be effectively tuned simultaneously to some specific services, such as for instance the five frequency bands that cover the services AMPS, GSM900, GSM1800, PCS1900, UMTS, Bluetoothâ„¢, IEEE802.11b, or HyperLAN.
