  • Patent number: 8526352
Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for controlling at least one entity of a remote source network from a local home network. The method is implemented by a relay module, termed a roaming relay module, designed so that when the module is executed by an appliance connected to the home network, the module communicates with a relay module, termed a source relay module, executed by an appliance of the source network and serves as communication relay in relation to the at least one entity. The method includes: a step of reception of a first request by the roaming relay module via a control interface, complying with a first protocol usable to control the entity from the source network; and a step of sending from the roaming relay module to the source relay module, a second request intended to be converted by the source relay module into at least one third request complying with the first protocol.

Abstract: A transmission regulation method which may be performed by a station having at least one data frame for transmitting over a telecommunications network is disclosed. In one aspect, the method comprises, during at least one selection round from a set of selection rounds, obtaining a value representative either of an authorization to transmit or a prohibition to transmit the frame. Furthermore, when the value is representative of an authorization to transmit, transmitting an information signal over a first communications channel of the network, to inform the other stations that the station has obtained a value representative of an authorization to transmit; or when the value is representative of a prohibition to transmit, listening for an information signal, if any, transmitted over the first communications channel of the network. The method listens to or transmits over a second communications channel of the network that is different from the first communications channel.

  • Patent number: 8521091
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of measuring a distance between two radio-communication devices (1, 2), consisting in measuring a radio signal exchange delay. According to the invention, the time-of-flight of the signals is calculated from the exchange delay and subsequently corrected using an analysis of a single channel measuring frame that is transmitted between the two devices. The corrected time-of-flight corresponds to the shortest propagation path followed by the radio signals. In the majority of radio transmission medium configurations, the corrected time-of-flight is a straight line measurement of the distance separating the two devices (1, 2).

  • Patent number: 8516247
Abstract: The cryptographic scheme subdivides time into periods with an index j=0, 1, 2, etc. A public key indicates elements u and v of a first cyclic group G1 of prime order p and, for each period j, an integer sj between 0 and p?1 and elements g1,j of the group G1 and g2,j, wj and hj of another cyclic group G2 of order p. The private key of a member of the group indicates an integer xi between 0 and p?1 and, for each period j, an element Ai,j of the group G1 such that Ai,n=[Ai,n-1/g1,n-1]1/(xi?sn) for 1?n?j. To sign a message during a period j?0, the member selects two integers ? and ? between 0 and p?1, calculates T1=u?, T2=Ai,j·v?, S1=g2,j? and S2=e(Ai,j, hj)? where e(., .) is a bilinear map of G1×G2 onto GT, and determines according to the message the data that justify the fact that the elements T1, T2, S1 and S2 are correctly formed with knowledge of the private key of the member for the period with index j.

  • Patent number: 8516148
Abstract: A packet transmission network, a plurality of routers have sessions among them based on a routing protocol to exchange routing and/or connectivity data indicating paths for transmitting packets over the network. Each router maintains a first routing table including data sent to another of said routers, and a second routing table including data received from another of said routers. To close at least part of the sessions of a given router, the method consists: in listing the data corresponding to the part of the sessions and contained in at least one of the first and second routing tables; sending an updating message based on the protocol indicating to neighboring routers that the paths indicated in the data are considered out-of-service; then closing the part of the sessions. The router continues transmitting packets emitted on the paths considered out-of-service until the closing step.
