Abstract: The invention relates to a device and a method for the dissociation of tissue. In one embodiment, the device has at least one dissociation unit, for receiving a tissue sample, which is disposed at least partially in a pot-shaped cell strainer. In addition, the invention relates, in one embodiment, to a device and a method for the dissociation of tissue, the tissue being dissociated by a grinder having mutually movable rows of teeth which cut the tissue when moving past each other in the one direction and grind the tissue when moving past each other in the opposite direction.

Abstract: The invention relates to the deposition of optical precision films with high uniformity, precision, particle freedom and low absorption on the substrate. For this purpose, a method and a device are proposed. The approach is the use of target materials and also possibly of surfaces in the sputtering field. Abstract: The coding of a media signal is rendered more efficient by describing the media signal using a sequence of samples and sequentially encoding this sequence by selecting, for a current sample, a set of quantization levels out of a plurality of quantization level sets depending on indices encoded into the data stream for previous samples of the sequence of samples, quantizing the current sample onto one level of the set of quantization levels, and encoding a quantization index to the one level for the current sample into the data stream. In other words, scalar quantization of the individual samples of the sequence of samples is used, but it is rendered dependent on quantization indices encoded into the data stream for previous samples of the sequence of samples.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for producing a thermal map of an area, wherein the thermal map is generated by a combination of two thermal images of different properties, and both thermal images comprise pixels associated with the area and have been recorded by satellites. The two thermal images are recorded at different times using different recording devices. Furthermore, a radiometric precision of the first thermal image is higher than that of the second thermal image, and a spatial resolution of the second thermal image is higher than that of the first thermal image. The two thermal images are used to determine a measurement value offset of a first pixel group belonging to the second thermal image and spatially associated with the area, and then corrected absolute measurement values of the pixels belonging to the second thermal image and spatially associated with the area are determined. A precise thermal map of the area is then created on this basis.

Abstract: A method for monitoring and/or calibrating a device designed for three-dimensional X-ray optical inspection of seedlings in different growth phases may optically or X-ray optically measure natural seedlings in three dimensions at predetermined times during their growth phase. The method may create a control program for a device which is designed for the three-dimensional printing of artificial seedlings as reference samples which are replicas of the natural seedlings in each case using the recorded measured values. The method may also produce artificial seedlings with a plastic using the device in accordance with the created control program.
