Abstract: The invention relates to an organic EL element having a glass substrate and an anode, a hole-injecting layer, a hole-transport layer, a blue light-emitting layer, a hole-blocking layer, an electron-transport layer, and a cathode formed on the glass substrate sequentially in that order, wherein the electron-transport layer contains an electron-transporting material and a light-emitting material having emission-spectrum peak wavelength of longer than 555 nm, and the light-emitting material consumes the holes, thereby preventing degradation of the electron-transporting material, improving blue chromaticity, and elongating the life of the organic EL element.
Abstract: The image forming apparatus forms an image on a prescribed recording medium by carrying out digital halftoning using a threshold value matrix. The image forming apparatus comprises: a plurality of nozzles which eject ink toward the recording medium to form an image; an ejection characteristics determination device which determines ejection characteristics of each of the nozzles; and a threshold value correction device which performs first threshold value correction to reduce density non-uniformity occurring in the image due to error in the ejection characteristics of the nozzles, by correcting the threshold value matrix according to the error in the ejection characteristics of the nozzles, and performs second threshold value correction to reduce granularity in the image by correcting the threshold value matrix having undergone the first threshold value correction, according to threshold values in the threshold value matrix.

Abstract: In a sheet sucking/feeding device, actuators are independently and individually connected respectively to plural suction cups. At a point in time when a printing plate is sucked and raised up by a predetermined amount, every other one of the actuators is simultaneously operated such that the suction cups connected to the operated actuators are displaced upwardly. The sucked uppermost printing plate is curved so as to become wavy. Air enters in between the uppermost printing plate and a next printing plate therebeneath such that that printing plate therebeneath is disjoined (separated). Only the uppermost printing plate is stably removed and fed out.

Abstract: An antireflection film is provided with a transparent support, which has a light-diffusing layer and a low refractive index layer on the transparent support, wherein the light-diffusing layer has an inner haze value of 30 to 60% and a surface haze value of 1% or less, and the antireflection film has an average reflectance of 2.5% or less at a wavelength of 450 to 650 nm.
