Abstract: A data additional circuit adds plural types of expectation data to be read from a refresh block to data read from other blocks, respectively, to generate plural read data strings. An error correction circuit detects errors for each read data string, and sets the most reliable result of the error detection results to be true. The error correction circuit decodes data to be read from the refresh block based on a true error detection result. Moreover, the error correction circuit corrects the error of the read data string corresponding to the true error detection result. Consequently, without extending the read cycle time, a refresh operation can be hid, and errors can be corrected simultaneously. By correcting a data error read from a bad memory cell of data retention characteristics, a refresh request interval can be extended, and power consumption during a standby period can be reduced.

Abstract: A document collection apparatus collects a document for a community from a network. Before starting the collection, an initial document group is given as a starting point of the collection. A reference extraction unit extracts a reference from the initial document group. A next prospect determination unit determines a prospect which is a prospective document to be collected next. A document collection unit collects the prospect to be collected next, and adds it to the collected documents. The document collection unit first collects documents evenly from inside the community in the network, and then the next prospect determination unit determines the prospect to be collected next from inside and outside the community.
Abstract: Relevance data is displayed in a manner that allows the relevance data to be comprehended visually and intuitively. Relevance data includes element information and attribute information and is displayed as a network of element nodes and attribute nodes. The element information and attribute information is searched, designated as either element information or attribute information, and relevance information is extracted to reflect when an attribute is shared by a more than one element. Furthermore, a first network is displayed in which two element nodes with common attributes are connected. Alternatively, a second network is displayed in which attribute nodes are connected to element nodes when an element node posses an attribute node.
Abstract: An oscillator generates a refresh request signal periodically. A storing circuit changes a stored value by a predetermined value in response to the refresh request signal and returns the stored value by one in response to a refresh operation. A store control circuit, when a state detecting circuit detects a change of an operational state of a semiconductor memory, increases or decreases the predetermined value which the storing circuit uses. A refresh decision circuit outputs refresh signals of a number corresponding to the stored value until the stored value returns to an initial value. This makes it possible to change the frequency of the refresh operations according to a change of the operational state without changing an oscillation cycle of the oscillator. Without unnecessary oscillation of the oscillator, it is possible to decrease a standby current of the semiconductor memory.
