  • Patent number: 5838095
Abstract: A field emission display for reducing luminance unevenness by construction means. A plurality of stripe shaped cathode wirings 102 are formed in the cathode area 109 on a cathode substrate 101. Cut-through sections 108 are formed in each of the cathode wirings 102 and an island-like electrode 107 is formed within each cut-through section 108. A resistance layer 103 is formed on the cathode wiring 102, the cut-through section 108 and the island-like electrode 107. A plurality of emitter cones 106 are formed on the resistance layer 103 so as to provide a field emission array. The distance between the island-like electrode 107 and the cathode wiring 102 is changed depending on the position thereof in the cathode area 109 so as to correct deviation of the emission characteristic depending on the position. In the case of a full-color field emission display, white balance can be corrected by changing the distance depending on the luminous color of each dot.

  • Patent number: 5832882
Abstract: Fuel to which a predetermined pressure is applied is supplied to an electronically controlled fuel injection system of a engine for models in order to improve the rotation stability during low speed operation and the response to rapid acceleration or deceleration. The pulsatory air pressure is generated in a crank chamber of a engine for models during operation. An air pressure intake guide 51 of a fuel pressure control valve 1 receives air pressure from the crank chamber. The air intake guide is provided with an excessive pressure leak valve the actuation pressure of which is adjustable. The air pressure intake guide communicates with interposition of a check valve 56 to a controlled air pressure supply passage 54 which communicates to a fuel tank. The check valve 56 supplies the positive pressure of the pulsatory air pressure from the controlled air pressure supply passage to the internal of the fuel tank.

  • Patent number: 5834900
Abstract: A field emission type display device capable of preventing a variation in luminance of the display device due to a variation in ambient temperature. A resistive layer is formed on cathode electrodes arranged in a display region and conical emitters are arranged on the resistive layer. The resistive layer is made of a semiconductor material, resulting in being varied in resistance depending on a temperature. A monitor resistive pattern made of the same material as the resistive layer is arranged so as to measure the resistance variation in the form of a voltage variation through an OP amplifier 11, which is then fed to the control circuit. The control circuit controls a gate voltage depending on the resistance to prevent a variation in luminance of the display device.

  • Patent number: 5829415
Abstract: In a fuel injector magnetic core is inserted in the solenoid coil in the box. The fuel feeding passage is provided in the magnetic core. The movable valve body which moves up to the magnetic core magnetically is provided in the box. The valve body has a flow passage which communicates to the feeding passage. The valve body is forced to be pressed by the plate spring so as to be in contact with the valve box so as to close the fuel injection orifice. The check valve is provided on the fuel feeding passage. An air pressure of about 20 to 100 kPa generated in the crank chamber of the engine is applied to fuel in the box through the diaphragm. Fuel is introduced into the fuel injector without pressurization and confined by the check valve, and the fuel is pressurized using air which is not affected very much by the force due to acceleration. Fuel is fed stably even under severe operational conditions, the engine will not stall due to insufficient or excessive feeding of fuel.

  • Patent number: 5827048
Abstract: A getter support capable of permitting a getter to be compactly arranged in a vacuum envelope while keeping a space for the getter minimized. The getter support includes holders for vertically interposedly holding a getter, first support legs formed integrally with the holders so as to downwardly extend therefrom, and second support legs formed integrally with the holders so as to upwardly extend therefrom. The getter support is fixedly arranged in a getter chamber while being pressed by elasticity of the second support legs. The second support legs are varied in deflection depending on contact thereof with a second substrate of an envelope. This permits a distance between an upper surface of the getter and the second substrate of the envelope to be constantly kept at a desired value.

  • Patent number: 5808590
Abstract: A fluorescent display device capable of setting anode patterns as desired without being restricted by a configuration of grids. A plurality of grids formed into the same rectangular shape are juxtaposed to each other at micro intervals. First single anode patterns each are arranged so as to face each of grid groups each consisting of four to six single grids adjacent to each other. Second single anode patterns each are arranged so as to face each one single grids. The second single anode patterns are driven for every grid and then the grid groups facing the first single anode patterns are selected. Concurrently, the anode patterns facing the grid groups are fed with a display signal. Thus, the grid is commonly applied to any fluorescent display device and accommodates to any anode pattern.

  • Patent number: 5799045
Abstract: A PLL-mode radiofrequency module capable of being connected to a transmitter of any kind. The PLL-mode module is provided therein with a CPU, which functions to vary a waveform of a PPM signal fed thereto from a transmitter body so as to permit a pulse duty ratio of the PPM signal to be about 50%. The PPM signal thus varied is fed to a modulation circuit and then subjected to FSK modulation, so that a PLL oscillator constituted by a PLL circuit and a modulation circuit or voltage control oscillator generates a frequency as indicated by a rotary switch. A carrier frequency controller thus constructed is arranged on a side of the PLL-mode radiofrequency module rather than the transmitter body, so that the PLL-mode radiofrequency module may be connected to a transmitter of any kind.

  • Patent number: 5793154
Abstract: A field emission element including a gate and an emitter and capable of penting any of the element oxide layer from being formed on a tip of the emitter to prevent a decrease in emission current, unstable operation and an increase in noise. The gate has a surface formed of a material of oxygen bonding strength higher than that of a material for at least a tip surface of the emitter, so that oxygen atoms and molecules containing oxygen entering the gate may be captured by adsorption on the gate to prevent formation of any oxide layer on the emitter. When a portion of the emitter other than the tip surface is formed of a material of oxygen bonding strength higher than that of the material for the tip surface, formation of any oxide layer on the tip surface of the emitter is minimized.

  • Patent number: 5789858
Abstract: A fluorescent display device capable of being sealed while being evacuated to a high vacuum without independently forming any evacuation hole at an electrode formation section of a substrate of an envelope. A cathode substrate is sealedly formed of an electrode formation section of a large plate-like shape provided thereon with a field emission cathode, an evacuation section of a small plate-like shape formed with a cutout, and a seal member. An anode substrate on which a display section is spacedly arranged oppositely to the cathode substrate. A getter chamber including an evacuation tube is connected to the evacuation hole. Thus, the present invention eliminate independent formation of any specific evacuation at the electrode formation section, to thereby prevent damage and contamination of the substrates.

  • Patent number: 5789856
Abstract: A field emission type fluorescent display device capable of carrying out luminous display with increased reliability at an anode voltage 200V to 1000V and providing a desired luminous color by means of a filter. The fluorescent display device includes a luminous display section consisting of three display elements. The display elements include filters of red, green and blue colors on which light-permeable anode conductors are deposited, respectively. Then, the anode conductors have phosphors of the same colors as the filters deposited thereon, respectively. The blue phosphor is made of ZnO:Zn substantially containing a blue color component. • Patent number: 5789857
Abstract: A vacuum envelope capable of preventing contamination of an electron source and deterioration of luminous characteristics of a phosphor layer. Electrons emitted from a tip end of emitter cones are accelerated by an anode conductor to which a positive voltage is applied with respect to a gate conductor, to thereby impinge on the phosphor layer, leading to luminescence of the layer. The luminescence is observed through a transparent anode substrate. Spacers are bonded at only one end thereof to a cathode substrate by means of seal glass, to thereby keep the seal glass from being irradiated with electrons.
