    Abstract: A wireless interface system includes a wireless network interface, with a virtual Ethernet interface, that is configured to transmit and receive signals over a wireless channel using a predetermined wireless technology protocol. A method for abstracting a wireless interface protocol to an Ethernet protocol includes detecting, with a wireless network interface, access by a wireless device using the wireless interface protocol. A virtual Ethernet interface is created having an associated Ethernet interface ID. The wireless device ID is associated with the Ethernet interface ID in a table in memory. A payload from the wireless device is transmitted over the wireless technology protocol. The payload is transmitted to the virtual Ethernet interface using the Ethernet protocol.

    Abstract: The disclosure relates to technology handling events in a distributed computing environment. Events comprising a function executable by an instance are received from an event queue. The received events are mapped to an instance in a pool that executes a corresponding function. When it is determined that the instances in the pool are at least one of unavailable and do not include the function corresponding to the event, a new instance is created in the pool, where the new instance includes the function corresponding to the event. Instances in the pool may be terminated when frequency of occurrence patterns of the event with a corresponding function indicate the event is occurring less frequently such that fewer instances are required to execute the corresponding function. Otherwise, the events are dispatched to the appropriate instance in the pool for execution.

    Abstract: A method is provided to configure a communication network to perform telemetry of OAM data, implemented in a network management device. A packet flow ID is identified, and a head node and an end node for the packet flow are determined from the flow ID. A marking command is sent to the head node, causing it to mark some packets in the packet flow. An unmarking command is sent to the end node, causing it to unmark marked packets. A path configuration command is received, including a list of nodes through which a marked packet passed. A command is sent to the nodes in the list, configured to cause the nodes to collect specified OAM flow data relating to marked packets. Such data for an individual packet is received after being collected from the nodes in the list. The OAM flow data is used to improve performance of the network.
