User equipment determines whether to decode one of a transport block cyclic redundancy check (CRC) and a codeblock segment CRC based on a speed of user equipment. In response to the speed of the user equipment being greater than a threshold, the user equipment decodes the transport block CRC and generates an acknowledgement (ACK)/non-acknowledgement (NAK). In response to the speed of the UE being less than or equal to the threshold, during a first data transmission, the user equipment decodes the codeblock segment CRC for each of the multiple codeblock segments and generates the ACK/NAK.
