    Abstract: A transmit power control rule for device-to-device (D2D) transmissions may not be necessary during periods in which no uplink transmissions are scheduled to be received by an enhanced Node B base station (eNB). When uplink transmissions are not scheduled to be received by the eNB, the eNB may send a transmit power control (TPC) command to a D2D capable user equipment (D2D UE) that instructs the D2D UE to perform a D2D transmission at a pre-defined transmit power level (e.g., maximum transmit power level). When uplink transmissions are scheduled to be received the eNB, the eNB may send a TPC command to the D2D UE that instructs the D2D UE to perform a D2D transmission at a transmit power level defined by a power control rule.

The first PE router creates a first Border Gateway Protocol Link State (BGP-LS) message that includes the pseudowire data and transmits the first BGP-LS message to a second PE router of a second AS and intended for a destination PE router of the second AS. The first PE router then receives a second BGP-LS message from the second PE router that includes modified pseudowire data. The first PE router creates a second IGP message that includes the modified pseudowire data and transmits the second IGP message to the source PE router.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatus for coordinating inter-frequency measurement gaps in a wireless network are disclosed. In various embodiments, a measurement gap pattern is determined and provided (via a serving frequency) to a user equipment (UE) in conjunction with frequency identification information identifying at least one target frequency. In accordance with the measurement gap pattern, the UE tunes a receiver to the target frequency and receives a reference signal upon which measurement operations are performed. Additional target frequencies can also be specified for the measurement gap pattern. In other embodiments, the frequency identification information identifies a band of target frequencies, any of which can be measured using the measurement gap pattern. In further embodiments, target frequencies employing overlapping reference signals are grouped into a timing group indicated by the frequency identification information.

Efficient expressions for quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) symbol mean and variance calculations are utilized with efficient expressions and implementations that are adaptive to different orders of QAM formats. An EU circuit includes a mean estimation unit (MEU) circuit and/or second moment estimation unit (SEU) circuit. Each estimation unit circuit is configured to receive a variable QAM normalization factor so that the circuit can be adapted to different QAM orders. Each MEU or SEU circuit can be configured for sequential and/or parallel processing. A pool including multiple MEU circuits and/or a pool including multiple SEU circuits is provided in one embodiment, with a control unit for configuring and reconfiguring the pools of circuits for mean and variance estimation for data streams of QAM symbols.

    Abstract: A router, and a method of routing an interest packet having multiple nonces in NDN to eliminate stale PIT entries. The method includes a consumer device initially sending an interest packet having a first nonce within a protocol data unit (PDU), the interest packet having a second nonce. A router receives the interest packet and creates a pending interest table (PIT) entry. The consumer device resends the interest packet, the router keeping a single PIT entry per consumer device and using the second nonce to clear PIT entries corresponding to the initial transmission of the consumer device. The first nonce is indicative of requested content from the producer device, and the second nonce is indicative of the consumer device.

In such scenarios, a UE may need to perform SRS switching in order to transmit SRS symbols over all of the component carriers. Embodiments of this disclosure provide various techniques for facilitating SRS switching. For example, a radio resource control (RRC) message may be used to signal a periodic SRS configuration parameter. As another example, a downlink control indication (DCI) message may be used to signal an aperiodic SRS configuration parameter. Many other examples are also provided.

    Abstract: The system and method of the present disclosure relates to technology for a network system supporting multiple topology transparent zones (TTZs) on an edge node. TTZs have a topology including TTZ nodes consisting of edge nodes and internal nodes connected together by internal links. The edge nodes may also be connected to external nodes outside of the TTZ. The edge node is responsible for generating and distributing link state advertisements (LSAs) to generate virtual paths from the edge node to other edge nodes in each of the TTZs. Each TTZ sharing the edge node and each external node neighboring one of the other edge nodes of the TTZs is virtualized by distribution of the LSAs. However, the internal topology of each TTZ is concealed from each of the other TTZs sharing the edge node and from any neighboring external node connected to one of the other edge nodes.
