Abstract: Embodiments of the invention relate to load carrier systems and associated manufacturing methods. In one embodiment, a load carrier system can include a unitary piece of material. The unitary piece of material can include a body portion comprising a first face side, an opposing face side, a first peripheral edge and an opposing second peripheral edge; and one or more straps comprising a respective extended end, wherein the straps are an integral part of the body portion; wherein the one or more straps are folded over onto the first face side adjacent to the first peripheral edge; and wherein at least one respective end of the one or more straps is fastened to the opposing second peripheral edge.

Abstract: A foldable animal litter containing apparatus is provided that is compact, and can be easily and quickly assembled by an owner. The apparatus includes a foldable cover having a first cover side, a second cover side, a third cover side, a fourth cover side, a cover top, and an open bottom, with an entrance defined in at least one of the cover sides. The apparatus also includes a foldable frame having at least two intermediary cross members located on a first side and a second side in a use position. The first side opposes the second side. The foldable frame supports the foldable cover. The apparatus includes a wall attached to the at least two intermediary cross members in the use position. The wall defines two internal compartments within the foldable cover in the use position and an internal pet opening between the two internal compartments.

Abstract: Magazines for light sticks have an elongated tubular body defining a chamber configured to contain a stack of elongated light sticks, the body defining an exit aperture communicating with the chamber and proximate to a light stick feeding position, a movable actuator proximate the exit aperture and movable between a rest position and an actuated position, the body having a retention element proximate the exit aperture, the actuator having a contact portion spaced apart from the retention element, and the retention element and contact portion being operable to flex a light stick occupying the light stick feeding position in response to movement of the actuator from the rest position to the actuated position. The retention element and contact portion may be operable to eject the light stick occupying the light stick feeding position in response to movement of the actuator from the rest position to the actuated position.

Abstract: An ATV jack may include a clamping engagement member and a leg which pivots which respect to the clamping engagement member a limited amount to enable the jack to lift and hold an ATV. The leg may telescope to allow the jack to be used at variable heights.

Abstract: A mounting assembly for securing an auxiliary device to a firearm is provided. The mounting assembly allows a variety of different sizes of auxiliary devices to be adjustably mounted to a firearm. The mounting assembly may be secured to mounting rails located on opposing sides of the bottom of a barrel of a firearm.

Abstract: One aspect of this disclosure is a climbing skin attachment apparatus. The apparatus may comprise a climbing skin attachment portion and a snow device connection portion, a channel extending at least partially through the climbing skin attachment portion along a channel axis to receive an anchor portion of a climbing skin, and a passage extending through the climbing skin attachment portion and into the channel along the channel axis to receive a lead portion of the climbing skin. Related apparatus, methods, and systems also are described.

Abstract: A jump rope handle has a hollow handle member with a through bore and a swivel assembly mounted in a swivel mounting portion extending up to one open end of the handle bore. The swivel assembly includes a shoulder bolt having an enlarged head and a shaft having a smooth, unthreaded outer surface extending from the enlarged head to the open end of the handle bore, an end connector or nut secured to the shaft and located outside the bore, and first and second rotatable bearings mounted between the smooth outer surface of the shaft and the handle bore to allow for relatively free rotation of the shoulder bolt in the handle bore. The end connector has a cross-hole or the like for connection to one end of a jump rope and the jump rope is easily rotatable relative to the handle via the swivel assembly during skipping activity.

Abstract: An apparatus for holding a footwear heel to a snow travel aid is provided. The apparatus comprises a mountable base connected to a generally vertical post and an upper portion having at least one forward connector for connecting the upper portion to the heel. The upper portion is rotatable on the post between a downhill position and at least one touring position and comprises at least one part which travels over a prominence at a fixed location relative to the upper portion during rotation from the downhill position to the touring position. The at least one part becomes engageable with a depression adjacent the prominence when the upper portion is in the touring position to resist rotation from the touring position back to the downhill position. The post comprises a feature that provides clearance for the at least one part to travel over the prominence or which functions as the prominence and depression. Also provided are posts for use as a part in such an apparatus.

Abstract: Face covers, protective outwear systems, and methods for manufacturing the same are disclosed. A cover is disclosed for protecting the human face, head, neck, and/or shoulders against environmental conditions. The cover, which does not cover the eyes, nostrils or mouth, includes 2-4 separate pieces which can be worn together or individually. A first piece covers the face from above the mouth to below the eyes, including the nose and cheeks. A second piece covers the face from below the mouth to the bottom of the neck. These pieces can overlap on the cheeks to minimize/prevent air and moisture from reaching the face. A third piece covers the head and/or neck and/or shoulders. These pieces can be joined together by any known means. Any piece can be made with a moldable material and/or elastic components which allow the mask to fit different faces and/or help ventilate exhalations away from the face.

Abstract: One aspect is an exemplary climbing skin extending along a longitudinal axis. For example, the skin may comprise: an attachment surface engageable with an undersurface of the snow device; a glide surface that slides across snow when moved in a forward direction along a longitudinal axis of the skin and resists sliding across the snow when moved in a rearward direction along the longitudinal axis; and a stiffener element disposed between the attachment surface and the glide surface to resist a lateral bending about the longitudinal axis and permit a longitudinal bending about a lateral axis of the skin that is generally perpendicular to the longitudinal axis.

Abstract: The present disclosure can be embodied by a detachable assembly, for example a helmet and headphone assembly. A locking assembly can be configured to removably attach the headphones to the helmet in a locked position. In the locked position, the headphones can be locked horizontally onto the helmet, and a portion of ear cups of the headphones may be received at least partially through a pair of ear cup receiving apertures that extend through a shell of the helmet.

Abstract: There is disclosed a coating/membrane device for repairing defects such as holes or cracks in the membranes used to coat oil and gas metal pipes used in oil and gas pipelines and other metal based holding tanks, metal water pipes and the like. In one embodiment the device includes an applicator for applying a patch over a defect in the membrane. The device is placed over the defect and is temporarily bonded to the membrane, and an applicator having a patch removably attached thereto is activated to apply the patch to the membrane covering the defect. In another embodiment the device is placed over the defect and is temporarily bonded to the membrane, and a liquid sealant is injected into a chamber which then sets to seal the sealant over the defect and the device is removed.

Abstract: A pet privy system is provided that is compact for shipping, and can be easily and quickly assembled by an owner. The system includes a cloth enclosure that has sidewalls and a top. A frame assembly supports the cloth enclosure, and includes a top frame, first and second side frames connected to the top frame, and cross-members that are connected between opposite sides of the first and second side frames from the top frame. A removable pan having a length and a width is provided, with the length being less than a distance between the first and second side frames. The pan is slideable between the first and second side frames. An inner guard wall is also provided having two sides and a back that are connected together and located inside the frame assembly and are adapted to be located between the sidewalls of the cloth enclosure and the removable pan.

Abstract: A heel unit apparatus for a ski touring binding is disclosed which comprises a body mounted on a support, the body being rotatable relative to the support on a vertical axis. The body comprises a resilient element movable within the body which when pre-loaded under compression or tension, exerts forces in opposing directions. The body also comprises at least one forward connector moveable between resting and release positions for releasably connecting the body to the heel of a footwear and a My linkage between the resilient element and the at least one forward connector configured such that force exerted in one of the opposing directions resists movement of the at least one forward connector from the resting position to the release position. The resilient element, the at least one forward connector and the My linkage cooperate to resist forward release.

Abstract: A sling attachment device has a body having a strap facility adapted for attachment of a sling strap, a flexible elongated tether having a first end attached to the body, the tether having a free end opposite the first end, and the body defining a receptacle operable to receive the free end of the tether, such that the tether may be threaded through an aperture on a rifle and received by the receptacle to secure the strap to the rifle. The tether may have a selected first width along at least a portion of its length, and the free end may have a second width greater than the first width. A ball may be attached to the free end. The body may define a channel having a width larger than the first width and smaller than the second width. There may be an aperture adjacent to the channel.

Abstract: A carrying case comprises a housing having a bottom and a plurality of walls extending from the bottom thereof. A drawer is received by the housing when the carrying case is in a closed configuration. To move the carrying case from the closed configuration to an open configuration, the drawer is removed from the housing and rotated substantially ninety degrees relative to the housing such that the drawer extends substantially perpendicular to the housing when the carrying case is in the open configuration.
