Abstract: In an interdental cleaning device comprising a brush and a holder, the brush being pivotably and replaceably disposed on the free end of the holder, and the holder consisting of two shells, it is provided with a view to advantageous pivotablility of the brush and defined stop positions being attained, accompanied with simple implementation in terms of plastics technology, that the brush comprises a ball of a ball and socket joint and that a socket of a ball and socket joint is formed by two socket members to be assembled and disassembled, one socket member at a time being formed on an end of a shell.

Abstract: The invention is directed to a container with a screwed cap for nail varnish and liquid mascara having a closed position of the screwed cap in relation to the container defined by at least one end stop and a cover rotatably fitted on the screwed cap. The container and screwed cap further have a peripheral annular shoulder (22) with a thread-like pitch formed on the outer surface of the screwed cap at an angle to the longitudinal axis of the screwed cap to produce a stop shoulder (27) on a transition region between a beginning (25) and an end (26) of the annular shoulder (22). A guide slot extends downwards from the stop shoulder (27) and aligns therewith. A guide rib having a width corresponding to a width of the guide slot (28) formed on the inner wall of the cover (7) and runs parallel to longitudinal axes (16, 17) of the screwed cap and the cover for engagement in the guide slot.

Abstract: In a mascara brush comprising a plurality of bristles retained between two intertwisted wire sections, the bristles being trimmed to define the contour of the brush, it is provided, with a view to obtaining clearly improved handling and combing properties, that the bristles are trimmed so that on the one hand, seen in a cross-section, they are asymmetric in such a way that the bristles have a shorter extension from the intertwisted wire sections towards one side while having a longer extension towards the other side, and that on the other hand, seen in a longitudinal section, the bristles are also trimmed asymmetrically in such a way that they have varying lengths.

Abstract: A mascara applicator includes a receptacle, a pre-stripper and an end stripper, wherein the pre-stripper is associated with a brush and the end stripper is associated with a shaft. The shaft in turn is fixed to the brush and a screw cap. In the screwed-in position, the shaft is simultaneously grasped by segments of the pre-stripper and by stripper lips of the end stripper. Also, the pre-stripper has radially elastic segments which can pivot around a pivoting edge and which have slits which can be changed in width whereby radial forces can be transmitted to the segments by means of a spring loop.

Abstract: The invention relates to a reservoir for cosmetics, in particular a mascara unit, comprising a main body of a comparatively soft plastic material, with a threaded neck, on which a screw cap can be screwed, with at least one stop shoulder and at least one return stop in the form of a locking arrangement being provided at the foot of the threaded neck at the shoulder of the reservoir to achieve a defined end position of the screw cap. The applicator is operable to effect application of a sample of cosmetic material within the sealed capsule upon unsealing of the plastic covering.
