Abstract: A video playback system includes a content provider server for providing video signals of a first and a second video; a video decoder; a display for displaying video content outputted from the video decoder; a playback control server for controlling the video decoder; a first mobile communication device for transmitting a first selection message to the playback control server via internet at a first time point; and a second mobile communication device for transmitting a second selection message to the playback control server via internet at a second time point. The playback control server utilizes the video decoder to receive video signals of the first video according to the first selection message, and utilizes the video decoder to receive video signals of the second video according to the second selection message after the second time point.

Abstract: A video playback system includes a content provider server, first and second video decoders, a playback control server, and first and second mobile communication devices. The first and the second mobile communication devices belong to the same accessing group. The first mobile communication device transmits a first selection message to the playback control server to request the first video decoder to playback a target video provided by the content provider server. The second mobile communication device transmits a second selection message to the playback control server to request the second video decoder to playback the same target video. The content provider server performs a billing process on the basis of the accessing group, so that the first mobile communication device and the second mobile communication device would not be repeatedly charged for the target video.

Abstract: A network device relating to a digital subscriber line (DSL) such as an asymmetrical DSL (ADSL) or a very high bit rate DSL (VDSL) is provided. In the present invention, the capacitors equipped into the network device are separated and grouped into two independent groups. When the network device runs out of power, the energy of one of the two independent groups is provided for generating the dying gasp signal, and the energy of the other of the two independent groups is provided for amplifying and transmitting the dying gasp signal to a Central Office (CO). Accordingly, the CO can be accurately known whether the network device runs out of power or not, and the respective capacitances of the two independent groups can be significantly reduced so as to reduce the cost of the network device.

Abstract: The invention provides a CDeX system of equipment lists and a method thereof, the method includes following steps: scanning electronic devices in the first LAN conformable to the UPnP protocol by the first OTT-box to thereby establish a first equipment list; when the first router is capable of communicate with a second LAN through a wireless network tunnel, delivering the first equipment list to the first router by the first OTT-box; accessing a second identifier of the second router by the first OTT-box; delivering the first equipment list to the second router in the second LAN by the first router according to the second identifier; and delivering a second equipment list provided by the second OTT-box to the first router by the second router, in which the second equipment list is corresponding to electronic devices in the second LAN conformable to the UPnP protocol.

Abstract: A multi-directional pivoting antenna includes an antenna case, a pivotal device, and a pivot base. The antenna case is pivotally connected to the pivotal device and can be vertically turned relative to the pivotal device, and the pivotal device is fitted in the pivot base and can be horizontally turned relative to the pivot base. Therefore, when the pivot base of the pivoting antenna is mounted on an electronic device for wireless signal transmission, the pivotal device and the pivot base provide the pivoting antenna with high degrees of freedom, allowing the antenna case to be pivotally turned horizontally and vertically to different angular positions and directions, and making the pivoting antenna very convenient to use.

Abstract: A coupling structure couples first and second casing parts together. The first casing part is formed with a detachment hole. The coupling structure includes one resilient engaging hook projecting from the first casing part and a coupling member disposed between the first and second casing parts and formed with first and second engaging grooves. The resilient engaging hook hooks the first engaging groove in a right direction. The coupling member has a pushing element tending toward the detachment hole. One rigid engaging hook projects from the second casing part and engaging the second engaging groove in a left direction. Manually leftwise movement of the pushing element in the left direction results in simultaneous bending of the resilient engaging hook in the left direction so as to disengage the rigid engaging hook from the second engaging groove, thereby permitting removal of the second casing part from the first casing part.

Abstract: A wireless network system and a wireless access point (AP) device and a wireless terminal device thereof are provided. The wireless network system includes at least a wireless AP device and at least a wireless terminal device. Each wireless AP device broadcasts a beacon including a load state content of the wireless AP device. Each wireless terminal device receives beacons of all wireless AP devices, and ranks load states of all wireless AP devices in a load list according to at least CPU utilization rates in the load state contents of all wireless AP devices respectively. When a wireless terminal device intends to establish a connection with one of the wireless AP devices, the wireless terminal devices searches through the load list to select a wireless AP device being in a low load state, and transmits a connection request message to the selected wireless AP device.

Abstract: A wireless network system and a wireless access point (AP) device thereof are provided. The wireless network system includes at least a wireless AP device and a plurality of wireless terminal devices. Each wireless AP device maintains a load list including load states of all wireless AP devices in the same area, and ranks load states of all wireless AP devices in the load list at least according to central processing unit utilization rates of the wireless AP devices. When a wireless terminal device transmits a connection request to one wireless AP device, the wireless AP determines whether it being in a low load state, and decides, depending upon whether it being in the low load state, to accept the connection request or to notify one or a plurality of wireless AP devices being in the low load states in the same area to accept the connection request.

Abstract: A sensor system for receiving an input signal and applying a digital control signal to adjust an output sensitivity of a triggering signal within the sensor system. The input signal includes a bias DC and a fluctuation bias voltage. The sensor system includes a first voltage contact, a normalized voltage contact, a normalized circuit and a comparison circuit. The first voltage contact provides a first comparison voltage based on the digital control signal, wherein the first comparison voltage defines a standby voltage region. The normalized voltage contact provides a reference voltage based on the digital control signal, wherein the reference voltage is located within the standby voltage region. When the fluctuation bias voltage is located outside of the standby voltage region, the sensor system outputs a triggering signal so as to adjust the digital control signal.

Abstract: A video server device provides digitization and networking functions to a CCTV camera. To make installation of a video server device easier, the video server device includes a network connector for carrying first data signals, second data signals, and direct current power, an interface circuit including transformers for splitting the data signals and the power signals and/or traces for carrying the direct current, a DC/DC converter for tapping the direct current power from the transformers and/or the traces of the network connector for generating a first voltage source, and an output power connector for providing the fourth voltage source to the CCTV camera.

Insertion of a detachment tool via an opening in the casing and the detachment hole to abut against the second coupling element results in inward bending of the second coupling element with respect to the first coupling element, thereby disengaging the second coupling element from the first coupling element, hence the first casing half disengages from the second casing half.

Abstract: A data transfer system enabling access to multiple subnets and method thereof is disclosed. The data transfer method includes the following steps: executing a virtual private network (VPN) client installed on an electronic system; connecting the VPN client to a VPN router; the VPN client assigning a virtual IP address to a virtual interface; and the VPN client accessing a subnet corresponding to the virtual IP address through the virtual IP address.

Abstract: A microwave filter based on the combination of dual-mode and single-mode cavities. The single-mode cavity symmetrically extends from the dual-mode cavity with respect to the symmetric reference plane to form the so called extended doublet network. The microwave filter in extended-doublet configuration exhibit high frequency selectivity since it has a pair of finite frequency transmission zeros on the upper and lower stopband. The design concept can also be applied to build higher order filters.

Abstract: An electronic assembly includes a terminal unit, a signal connector and a memory device. The terminal unit includes a plurality of terminals consisting of a set of coupler terminals and a set of control terminals. The signal connector is utilized for electrically connecting to the coupler terminals, wherein electrical connection of the signal connector to the coupler terminals results in a first relation signal. The memory device is utilized for storing a first relation data corresponding to the first relation signal. Once the signal connector is electrically disconnected from the coupler terminals and upon required the signal connector is again electrically connected to the terminal unit results in a second relation signal such that the electronic assembly is prevented from being operated in case the second relation signal fails to conform to the first relation signal.

Abstract: A method and a system for playing a multimedia file and attached information thereof, suitable for a multimedia file play system comprising a service end and a client end are provided. In the present method, the client end sends a play request of a multimedia file to the service end. The service end searches for attached information of the multimedia file according to the received play request, creates a resource item in a description file to add a link of the attached information, creates an extended field in the resource item to add identification information of the attached information, and returns the description file to the client end. The client end identifies the attached information according to the identification information and downloads the multimedia file and the attached information thereof according to the link, so as to play the multimedia and the attached information.

Abstract: A method for measuring an Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) channel zapping delay to be implemented using a system that includes a scheduling unit, a remote controller, a stream providing unit, a set-top box, and a packet analyzing unit, said method comprising: a) configuring the scheduling unit to control the remote controller to transmit a channel change signal to the set-top box, whereby the set-top box initiates communication of a plurality of packets with the stream providing unit; b) configuring the packet analyzing unit to capture the packets communicated between the set-top box and the stream providing unit; and c) configuring the packet analyzing unit to compute an IPTV channel zapping delay corresponding to the channel change signal on the basis of the packets captured in step b). A system for measuring an IPTV channel zapping delay is also disclosed.

Abstract: A seat structure is provided for disposing below an assembly in order to support the assembly from underneath. The assembly has a base portion formed with an opening. The seat structure includes a bottom seat for placing within the opening in the base portion and a plurality of flexible connecting elements. Each flexible connecting element includes an outer bent end connected to a periphery confining the opening in the base portion, an inner bent end connected to the bottom seat and a main body between the outer and inner bent ends. The vibration of the assembly is absorbed by the seat structure to provide stability to the assembly.
