  • Patent number: 6712539
Abstract: A roll-on applicator to delivery a body powder composition, especially baby powder, to areas of skin the require moisture absorption. The roll-on applicator provides superiority over shaker powders in that dust clouds and waste are minimized during application. Furthermore, the baby powder can be easily applied as the roll-on applicator glides over skin. Body powder compositions used in conjunction with the roll-on applicator contains at least an absorbent powder and a flow agent.

  • Patent number: 6601720
Abstract: The invention is an improved nursing bottle, providing a new valve within its bottom structure. A flexible disk is disposed within the bottom end cap of the nursing bottle, clamped at its periphery to the periphery of the base when the bottle is assembled. The disk has a ring of slits near its periphery which are closed when pressure inside the bottle equals ambient pressure. The slits are further sealed by contact with the base. Holes, which are sealed closed by contact with the disk, are provided in the base within a central portion which does not contact the slits in the disk. When pressure within the bottle drops, the disk bows upwardly in its center, opening the valve and allowing air to enter the bottle. When pressure within the bottle increases, the valve again closes.

  • Patent number: 6513379
Abstract: An infant drinking cup is described. The infant drinking cup is a first color when at room temperature. When the cup is filled with a cold beverage, the portion of the cup below the fill line changes to a second color. When handled by an infant, those areas below the fill line in contact with the infant's warm hands change color back to the first color. The process is fully reversible, such that the infant drinking cup can change from the cold color to the warm color, and vice versa, repeatedly.

  • Patent number: 6383164
Abstract: A breast pump funnel is disclosed. The funnel is shaped and dimensioned to fit a woman's breast, and has a neck to receive the nipple, a cup to fit over an inner part of the breast and a plurality of fingers extending outwardly from the cup to contact an outer part of the breast. The pump section of the breast pump is connected to the neck of the funnel to apply a varying suction to draw milk from the breast and to deliver the milk into a receiving vessel. The tips of the fingers of the funnel serve to massage the breast and stimulate the release of milk from the breast during pumping.

  • Patent number: 6368654
Abstract: A method for making fruit and vegetables purees includes selecting raw produce of the type having meat with a cell structure that is not ruptured by cooking or macerating, and seeds and/or skins. The seeds and/or skins are separated from the meat at substantially ambient temperature by extruding the meat through perforations to form a cold break. The cold break is heated to a temperature which cooks the same into a puree. The puree is then finished to the desired texture and consistency.

  • Patent number: 6228105
Abstract: An infant pacifier is provided including a nipple, a bond ring and a handle. The nipple has a shaft and a base, each made of a flexible membrane and formed integrally with one another. A rim is formed on the base of the nipple adjacent its outer periphery. The bond ring is generally planar and annular shape and engages the rim. The handle includes a mounting ring and an elongate grip located concentric with the mounting ring. The mounting ring engages the bond ring and the rim. The bond ring and the mounting ring are attached to the nipple, preferably by overmolding the nipple and bond ring to one another and sonic welding the handle to the nipple.
