The mobile terminals (ME) are controlled by a subscriber identity module (SIM) in which data for associating at least one user are stored, the subscriber identity module (SIM) having an identity (IMSI) associated therewith. For utilizing a mobile radio device for different purposes, such as private and business, a subscriber identity module is known which contains at least two permanently stored identities and thus has the disadvantage of being inflexible. The invention therefore proposes a subscriber identity module (SIM) containing a calculation rule for calculating from the stored identity (IMSI) at least one further identity (IMSIw), the identities generated by the calculation rule being associated accordingly in the mobile switching center (MZ).

An application is stored on the smart card to control the execution upon the first use of the processor smart card by the card user. The application is arranged to transmit personal identification numbers for subsequent use of the processor smart card in the network to the first user of the card or to let them be defined by the first user of the card.

In each case one type of mottled fibers is present in a defined subarea of the security paper, and the code is represented by the defined geometric arrangement of the subareas on the security paper and/or by the presence or absence of mottled fibers of a specific type.

Methods are provided for generating and processing irregular line structures as digital image data on a computer following individual specifications by an operator. The line structures are transferred to a line intaglio printing plate. The digital image data is used for controlling an engraving apparatus. Abstract: A method is proposed for protecting the central processing unit of a computer, in particular a smart card. Individual security-related registers are logically combined to form a check sum after the CPU has executed an instruction. The check sum is stored and compared with an accordingly formed check sum before the onset of processing of the next instruction. If the compared check sums fail to match, this indicates manipulation of the register contents of the CPU in the time period between the execution of the two instructions. In such a case a corresponding error message is issued and the processor stopped or the card confiscated.

A container for each group of sheet material is used for separating and processing each group of sheet material. Designing the separating means as a container obtains reliable separation of the individual groups of sheet material. Since the different groups of sheet material are already clearly separated and grouped before actual processing, one can avoid mixups, misallocations and transfer errors as can occur with later, simultaneous grouping of the different groups of sheet material.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for testing the authenticity of objects printed with security link are provided which measure light emanating from, in particular reflected or transmitted by, an object to be checked. To guarantee especially reliable authenticity testing, it is provided that light emanating from the object to be checked is detected indifferent spectral regions outside the visible spectral region. To obtain easily operated and safe authenticity testing, it is provided that light emanating from the object is detected at a plurality of places on the object in at least two selected spectral regions. A test series is produced for each spectral region wherein two test series adapted to each other, and authenticity testing is then performed by comparing the adapted two test series.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for incorporating feature substances into a still moist but already sufficiently consolidated paper web provides for directing a feature substance suspension onto the surface of the paper web as a laminar jet with low jet pressure. A special pressure control circuit ensures that the jet pressure is always constant regardless of the number of parallel feature substance suspension jets directed onto the paper web. This makes it possible to incorporate a great variety of line codings in paper under the same process conditions without any visible changes in fiber structure occurring in the paper.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for protecting the program flow during sub-program calls. Known methods for protecting data contract the evaluation of data by specific interruption of the program, do not however offer any effective protection for modular programs, especially with regard to sub-program calls. According to the invention, the requested program therefor checks the data communicated directly or indirectly by the requesting program before or during the execution of the program.

Abstract: A cog belt pulley defining an axis of rotation having an outer circumferential surface oriented about the axis of rotation and including a plurality of teeth for engagement with at least one cog belt. The pulley is distinguished in having at least one flange segment radially extending from the outer circumferential surface. Each flange segment projects about a fraction of the circumferential surface and is located on an individual plane. The at least one flange segment is arranged for enabling a cog belt to be configured onto the pulley without interfering with the at least one of the flange segment.

In addition, a corresponding method for producing such a security document and a test method for testing such a security document are described.

The first and second ink areas are separated by a sharp border line invisible on examination with the naked eye, and the ink layer thickness of both ink areas passes through a minimum in the region of the border line.

Designs of the invention pro-vide a negative writing 20 and/or coding 11 in reflection layer R and magnetic layer M. According to a further design diffraction structures 2 are integrated in the security element 1. Such a security element in particular is suitable as window security thread 200 in bank notes.

Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus for depositing loose sheet material, in particular papers of value, bank notes, etc., having a transport apparatus (2) for transporting the sheet material (1) and a stacking unit (3) for depositing the bank notes (1) in a deposit device as well as a strapping unit (7). In such deposit apparatuses it is usual to provide special deposit devices for depositing loose and strapped sheet material, said devices consequently not being interchangeable. It is therefore the problem of the invention to state an apparatus and method for providing a flexible possibility of depositing sheet material. This is obtained by using a deposit device which is suitable for optionally depositing loose and/or strapped sheet material (1).
