Abstract: A peripheral device with a wireless communication function including a transmitting interface, a wireless communication unit, a storage unit and a processing unit is disclosed. The transmitting interface is connected to a computer system including a display device. The wireless communication unit utilizes a wireless method to link to an internet. The storage unit has at least one connection information. The processing unit directs the display device to display a list according to the connection information when the transmitting interface connects to the computer system. The list includes at least one choice. When the at least one choice is selected, the display device displays a homepage of a specific website.

Abstract: Macro function setting methods for a keyboard with macro functions are provided. The keyboard includes a switch key and a set of macro keys, each macro key separately corresponding to a macro definition data in a plurality of predefined macro definition data. It is first detected that the switch key and a first macro key of the macro keys have been pressed, wherein the first macro key corresponds to a first macro definition data and corresponds to a macro index data. The number of times that the first macro key has been pressed is then calculated when the switch key has not been released. When the switch key is released, the macro index data of the first macro key is changed according to the calculated number of times such that the first macro key corresponds to a second macro definition data other than the first macro definition data.

Abstract: A computer set for coupling to a disk drive and a battery unit, includes a disk-drive connecting port, a power diverter circuit and a power source. The connecting port includes a set of disk terminals, a set of battery terminals, and a set of power terminals. The diverter circuit is coupled electrically to the connecting port. The power source is electrically coupled to the diverter circuit such that when the computer set is coupled to the disk drive, the sets of disk and power terminals are electrically coupled to the disk drive and the power source supplies a first electrical power for the disk drive via the diverter circuit. When the computer set is coupled to the battery unit, the sets of battery and power terminals are coupled electrically to the battery unit so as to permit the battery unit to supply a second electrical power for the computer set via the diverter circuit.

Abstract: A method and a system of temperature-control for an electronic component are provided, in which a plurality of temperature sensors is disposed in each area of the electronic component. The temperature-control method includes obtaining a plurality of sensed temperature values; looking up a temperature-control table recording the relationship between a temperature-control threshold and a temperature-control operation set for each area; selecting the temperature-control operation corresponding to sensed temperature values greater than the temperature-control thresholds depending on the temperature-control table; and starting the temperature-control operation to make the sensed temperature values being lower than or equal to the temperature-control thresholds.

Abstract: A flash memory accessing apparatus is disclosed. The flash memory accessing apparatus includes a memory controller, a first open NAND flash interface (ONFI) and an expanding flash memory module. The first ONFI is used for connecting a main flash memory module. The memory controller obtains a detecting result by, detecting whether the main flash memory module and the expanding flash memory module are single side or double side. The memory controller further configures an accessing method of the main flash memory module and the expanding flash memory module according to the detecting result.

Abstract: A chip test fixture for assisting in examining a test chip on a printed circuit board includes a switching module, a pin cord and a magnetic unit. The switching module includes a standard chip and a switch element configured to turn on either the standard chip or the test chip. The pin cord is connected with the switch module at one end and is formed with a contacting head at the other end. The contacting head has a set of contact pins corresponding to that of the test chip. The magnetic unit is configured to draw the contacting head of the pin cord and the test chip together in such a way that the contact pins of the contacting head are in contact with that of the test chip once the contacting head approaches the test chip.

Abstract: A portable electronic device includes a main body and a power supply module. The main body includes a main circuit, a power input port, and a housing. The housing defines a receiving space at a side surface thereof. The main circuit is disposed in the housing; the power input port is located on a wall surface of the receiving space and is connected to the main circuit. The power supply module includes a shell, a power output port formed on the shell, and a battery, a power modulating circuit and a switch received in the shell. The shell is capable of being detachably received in the receiving space of the housing, and when the shell is received in the receiving space the power output port is connected to the power input port on the wall surface of the receiving space. The power modulating circuit modulates alternating current to direct current suitable for the main circuit. The switch selectively connects the power output port to the battery or the power modulating circuit.

The second display is coupled with one of the signal output ports. The switch module forwards a multimedia signal of the main body to one of the first multimedia module and the multimedia switch circuit, and the power control circuit is to terminate power output to while the portable device is separated from the expansion port of the multimedia expansion apparatus.

Abstract: Methods and systems for updating a source image file in a BIOS memory are provided. In one embodiment of the method, an initialization document is loaded to generate a first image file, and the initialization document comprises a function setting and first and second address information associated with the function setting, and the function setting represents whether a system locked pre-installation (SLP) 2.0 is supported. The initialization document is loaded to write an SLP mark and an OEM public key to the first image file according to the first and second address information, serving as a second image file. The second image file is written into the source image file in the BIOS memory.

Abstract: An automatic network connection device includes a first connection port, a second connection port, a first network connection unit, a second network connection unit, a control unit, and a switching unit. When the first network connection unit operates normally, the switching unit electrically connects the first network connection unit to the first connection port, such that the first network connection unit transmits and receives a network signal. When the transmission line is coupled to the connection port, the integrated circuit enhances and restores the electromagnetic signal through an auxiliary electromagnetic signal received by the transmission line.
