Abstract: A center console for a motor vehicle is disclosed in which the center console includes a front portion and a rear storage box portion defined by a pair of side walls, a rear wall, a floor, an armrest and a front wall. The front wall of the storage box is moveable between substantially upright and substantially horizontal positions so as to define two distinct storage configurations. When the front wall is in the upright position a single large closed storage box is defined by the pair of side walls, the rear wall, the floor, the armrest and the front wall. When the front wall is in the horizontal position a first large open storage area is defined by the pair of side walls, the rear wall, the armrest and the front wall. A reconfigurable storage facility is thereby provided in a cost effective and simple manner.

Abstract: A system for a gaseous-fueled engine, comprising: a gaseous fuel tank, a first pressure regulator comprising: a high pressure chamber coupled to the gaseous fuel tank, a low pressure chamber coupled to an engine fuel rail, and a reference chamber; a second pressure regulator coupled to the reference chamber; a first valve controlling fuel flow from the gaseous fuel tank to the engine fuel rail; a second valve controlling fuel flow from the second pressure regulator to the reference chamber; and a controller including memory with instructions therein for adjusting the valves based on a desired fuel rail pressure. In this way, the system enables at least two different fuel rail pressures such that peak fuel demand can be satisfied without maintaining peak fuel rail pressure at all times.
Abstract: A transfer case includes a planetary differential including an input, a first output and a second output, a sprocket journalled on the second output, and a sleeve driveably connected to the second output, for (i) releaseably connecting the first output to the sleeve, (ii) releaseably connecting the sprocket to the sleeve, (iii) releaseably connecting the first output and the sprocket to the sleeve, and (iv) disconnecting the sprocket and first output from the sleeve.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for modifying the configuration of a driving assistance system of a motor vehicle includes, during operation in an autopilot mode, detecting that a vehicle driver makes a control input counter to vehicle control directed by the driving assistance system. Data relating to driving conditions existing when the driver made the control input is logged onboard the vehicle and transmitted to an off-board central communications platform. The central communications platform creates a modified configuration for the driving assistance system based on the data and re-transmits it back to the vehicle where it is loaded into the driving assistance system. The modified configuration causes the driving assistance system to automatically control the vehicle in a manner consistent with the control input if the driving conditions reoccur. The modified configuration may also be transmitted to a driving assistance system of one or more other motor vehicles.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for adjusting intake airflow through two induction passages. In response to increased torque demand, intake airflow may be directed through a first induction passage including an exhaust-driven turbocharger compressor and through a second induction passage including an electric compressor. Further, after the turbocharger compressor increases speed, intake airflow may be directed again through the first induction passage to further increase boost.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to multilayer thermoplastic films particularly suited for use in liners. The films contain organic fillers to produce opacity when stretched while maintaining an MD Tear Strength of at least 200 gm and a Dart Impact of at least 200 gm. Such performance can be maintained by selection and amounts of resins, organic fillers and processing conditions of the films.
Abstract: A steering wheel and driver airbag assembly in which an airbag module having a container housing a driver airbag is attached to motor vehicle steering wheel by a single snap fastener having a first part on the steering wheel and a second part on the container. To attach the airbag module to the steering wheel a part of the container is brought into contact with the steering wheel, the container is then rotated about a transverse axis so as to engage the second part of the snap fastener located on the container with the first part of the snap fastener on the steering wheel. A pair of location means locate the container at a position spaced away from the single snap fastener.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for adjusting intake airflow through two parallel induction passages. In response to increased torque demand, intake airflow may be directed through a first induction passage including an exhaust-driven turbocharger compressor and through a second induction passage including an electric compressor.
