  • Patent number: 11548397
Abstract: A three-state contactor for an electrical system having a battery pack and voltage bus rail includes first and second pairs of electrical terminals. The first pair of terminals is separated by a first circuit gap in a first circuit path extending between the bus rail and an electrode terminal of the battery pack. The second pair of terminals is separated by a second circuit gap in a second circuit path extending between the bus rail and electrode terminal. A contactor arm, in response to a corresponding switch activation signal, translates in an orthogonal direction with respect to its longitudinal axis between a first ON state position, an OFF position, and a second ON position to close the first circuit gap, open both circuit gaps, or close the second circuit gap, respectively. • Patent number: 11549815
Abstract: The present technology provides systems, methods, and devices that can update aspects of a map as an autonomous vehicle navigates a route, and therefore avoids the need for dispatching a special purpose mapping vehicle for these updates. As the autonomous vehicle navigates the route, data captured by at least one sensor of an autonomous vehicle can indicate an inconsistency between pre-mapped from a high-resolution sensor system describing a location on a map, and current data describing a new feature of the location. The current data can be clustered together based on a threshold spatial closeness, where the clustering describes the new feature, and semantic labels of the pre-mapped data from the high-resolution sensor system can be updated based on the new feature described by the clustered current data.

  • Patent number: 11548402
Abstract: A controller of a host system executes a method for detecting an external AC electrical device. While an AC charging inlet of the host system is electrically connected to the device via different vehicle-to-live (V2L) and jump-charge connections, the controller detects a control pilot voltage and a proximity voltage. When the control pilot voltage is 0V, the controller determines whether entry conditions are satisfied indicative of a desire to offload power from the host system to the device. When the entry conditions are satisfied, the proximity or control pilot voltage are modulated to generate a modulated voltage signal, which the controller compares to an expected voltage indicative of the device. Power is offloaded to the device when the modulated voltage signal matches the expected voltage.

  • Patent number: 11551488
Abstract: A method of using an adaptive fault diagnostic system for motor vehicles is provided. A diagnostic tool collects unlabeled data associated with a motor vehicle, and the unlabeled data is transmitted to a central computer. An initial diagnostic model and labeled training data associated with previously identified failure modes and known health conditions are transmitted to the central computer. The central computer executes a novelty detection technique to determine whether the unlabeled data is novelty data corresponding with a new failure mode or normal data corresponding with one of the previously identified failure modes or known health conditions. The central computer selects an informative sample from the novelty data. A repair technician inputs a label for the informative sample, and the central computer propagates the label from the informative sample to the associated novelty data. The central computer updates the labeled training data to include the labeled novelty data.
