Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide foam skin care product (e.g., soap) dispensers and corresponding compositions. An example foam skin care product dispenser includes a reservoir that holds, under pressure, a skin care product composition, including one or more propellants. During a dispense, a dispense valve is opened to release some of the skin care product composition from the reservoir into a dispensing (e.g., flow) path. Once released, the skin care product composition at least partially foams to form foamed skin care product (e.g., foamed soap).

Abstract: Tissue papers and methods of making are disclosed herein. In one aspect, a tissue paper is substantially free of a chemical debonder and has a geometric mean tensile (GMT) in a range between about 500 and about 5,000 g/3 inches (g/3 in.) and a caliper in a range between about 50 and about 350 mils/8 sheets.
Abstract: Embossed tissue products having improved strength and softness are disclosed. The products as described have a continuous curvilinear emboss element which carries discrete emboss elements, thereby providing the product with the softness and handfeel benefits associated with the long linear elements, but the visual appearance of discrete emboss elements.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a core-roll that contains areas of anti-slip material and methods of making the core-roll. The core-roll has one or more anti-slip zones to allow a continuous paper web to be wound around the core without the need for additional physical restraint to keep the paper from shifting laterally along the core. In another embodiment, the disclosure describes a parent roll having an anti-slip core-roll that does not interfere with other operations that occur during converting.
Abstract: A sheet product (e.g., napkin) dispenser may include an example calibration system and method for a product depletion curve for accurately determining a product level. An example sheet product dispenser includes a housing, a roll holder, a dispensing mechanism, a sensor, and a controller. The sensor is configured to emit a signal toward the product roll and receive a return signal. The controller is configured to receive a calibration product roll and operate the sensor to emit the signal and receive the return signal. The controller determines a brightness value of the return signal and determines a calibration value associated with the determined brightness value. The determined brightness value is within a range of brightness values associated with the calibration value. The controller adjusts a product depletion curve based on at least the determined calibration value and the determined brightness value. Additionally, example product level notification systems are provided herein.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a method for cutting a coreless rolled paper product. The method includes defining a core offset value for a cut, the cut having a starting point and an ending point, setting a plunge speed for a saw to a first plunge speed, and changing the plunge speed to a second plunge speed when the saw reaches the core offset value.

Abstract: Utensil dispensers and methods for making and using same. The utensil dispensers can include a housing configured to contain a stack of utensils. The stack of the utensils comprises at least one utensil in addition to a next utensil. At least one generally vertical guide rail can be disposed within the housing, and can be configured to receive a first portion of each utensil having a contoured projection extending outwardly from each utensil to maintain the stack of the utensils in a stacked orientation. A front pedestal can be disposed inside the housing and beneath the generally vertical guide rail. The front pedestal can be configured to contact the first portion of the next utensil, and a rear pedestal can be disposed inside the housing and beneath the generally vertical guide rail. The rear pedestal can be configured to contact a second portion of the next utensil.

Abstract: A method of making a fibrous sheet. The method includes forming a nascent web from an aqueous solution of papermaking fibers, moving a dewatered web on a transfer surface, and applying a vacuum at a molding zone defined between the transfer surface and a molding roll. The molding roll includes a permeable patterned surface on an exterior of the molding roll. The method also includes transferring the dewatered web from the transfer surface to the permeable patterned surface at the molding zone. The vacuum is applied during the transferring of the dewatered web, and the papermaking fibers of the dewatered web are (i) redistributed on the permeable patterned surface and (ii) drawn into a plurality of recess of the permeable patterned surface, in order to form a molded paper web. The method further includes drying the molded paper web in a drying section to form a fibrous sheet.
Abstract: A method of making a tissue basesheet includes: (a) forming a nascent web from an aqueous furnish of papermaking fiber; (b) applying an aqueous composition of nanofibrillar cellulose to a surface of the nascent web; and (c) drying the nascent web to provide the tissue basesheet. Typically the basesheet is constructed with a tissue substrate of cellulosic papermaking fiber having applied to a surface thereof a layer of nanofibrillar cellulose, the tissue substrate having a basis weight of from 15 g/m2 to 30 g/m2 and the layer of nanofibrillar cellulose having a coatweight of from 0.25 g/m2 to 3 g/m2. The product may be incorporated into 2-ply or 3-ply bath tissue.
Abstract: Products having improved emboss definition, emboss visibility, and perceived softness are described. The tissue products comprise an emboss pattern including multi-apex, high aspect ratio embossing elements that do not suffer from the prior art issues of bunching, puckering and folding. When included in a multi-ply product, the embossed tissue also possesses less adhesive than prior art patterns resulting in a product with improved softness and drape.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides paper wraps, paper wrapped products, such as rolled bath tissue, paper towel products, or bundles of rolled bath tissue or paper towels, and methods for covering a product or bundled products in a paper wrap. For example, printed paper wraps and their use are described, wherein the printed paper wraps comprise at least one heat-sealable adhesive that may be applied in varying locations, coverage levels, and patterns comprising different seal strengths, which may be sealed using heat and/or pressure external to the products for packaging and protective purposes.

Abstract: A water-dispersible nonwoven substrate includes a structured web of fibers. The structured web has a first surface and a second surface. The first surface has substantially filled protrusions extending outwardly from the first surface and connecting regions disposed between the protrusions. The average fiber densities of the protrusions and connecting regions are substantially the same, and the fibers are individualized plant-based fibers, reconstituted cellulosic fibers, or a combination thereof.
