Abstract: A container closure comprises an annular region forming a counterface against which a gas permeable, liquid impermeable sealing element may be applied so as to urge the sealing element into sealing engagement with the rim of a container opening. The annular region comprises a gas pathway from an interior space opposite the container opening to the exterior of the annular region. The gas pathway may be of closed cross-section extending through the annular region. Alternatively the gas pathway may be of open-sided cross-section and provided in the counterface. Yet alternatively the annular region may comprise a washer, with the gas pathway provided at least partly in the washer and/or at least partly in the remainder of the annular region. A gas permeable, liquid impermeable sealing foil for bonding to a container rim is also disclosed.

Abstract: A cap for a container closure or closure plug includes a cap top having a top surface and a bottom surface, and an attachment ring extending axially downward from the bottom surface of the cap top under a central portion of the cap top. The attachment ring is securingly engageable with a container closure or closure plug. The attachment ring includes a cam surface extending radially outward from the attachment ring, where the cam surface deflects the attachment ring radially inward upon engagement of the attachment ring with the container closure or closure plug. The cap top and the attachment ring are connected by at least one frangible connection and at least one permanent connection, where the at least one permanent connection retains the cap top in one piece upon breaking of the at least one frangible connection for removal of the cap from the container closure or closure plug.

Abstract: A cap for a container closure or closure plug is disclosed. The steel drum includes a pattern of corrugations (7, 8) on the circumferential surface of the cylindrical shape (2). The pattern of corrugations (7, 8) includes a plurality of corrugations (7, 8) grouped in at least one cluster (5, 6, 14), and the corrugations (7, 8) have a substantially identical shape and size.

Abstract: A cap (23) for a container closure or closure plug comprises a cap top (24), attachment means (24) under the cap top and securingly engageable with a given container closure or closure plug; a frangible connection (30) between the cap top and the attachment means designed, in use, to be broken upon removal or attempted removal of the cap from said container closure or closure plug and a permanent connection (31) between the cap top and the attachment means which, upon breaking of the frangible connection, retains the cap top and the attachment means connected together.

Abstract: An externally threaded closure plug for tightly closing off the internally threaded opening in shipping and storage containers such as drums, pails and the like. The plug is formed as a cup having a bottom wall and threaded cylindrical sidewall terminating in a circumferentially enlarged rim. Immediately beneath the rim of the plug is a gasket seat defined by the undersurface of the plug rim, the plug sidewall and an annular gasket retaining lip lying in a plane parallel to the undersurface of the plug rim. In use, the plug is screwed into and out of a container wall opening, having an internally threaded portion and an unthreaded portion, the sealing gasket being compressed between the unthreaded opening portion and the plug gasket seat and lying in close proximity to the internal thread. The gasket seat acts to prevent interengagement of the sealing gasket and the opening internally threaded portion.

Abstract: A container for transport and storage of liquids comprises a pallet and a metal cage of standard dimensions. The container comprises also an inner bag made of plastic material, an outer envelope disposed between the inner bag and the metal cage, and fastened to the metal cage. The inner bag is not fastened to the outer envelope and is configured to be filled to unfold from an empty condition, in which the inner bag is in a flattened and folded configuration to a filled condition, in which the inner bag is in a parallelepipedal and unfolded configuration, having a volume corresponding substantially to the volume of the housing of the cage and being surrounded by the outer envelope and the metal cage.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a valve for liquid containers, which comprises a conduit for liquid passage having an inlet and an outlet, a closing member disposed in the conduit, which is movable between an open position and a closed position, and an actuator for driving the closing member. The conduit is made of a first chemically resistant thermoplastic material and the closing member is made of a second thermoplastic or thermosetting material. Particularly, all the surface of the closing member that faces the inlet in the closed position, is coated with a third thermoplastic material which is heat-sealed to said second material and has high chemical resistance.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a pallet container (1) comprising a base portion (10) and a cage portion (20), wherein the cage portion (20) is connected with the base portion (10) to define an inner region (21) which is sized and shaped to accept a container (30). The pallet container (1) comprises shock absorbing means (40) to absorb and dissipate Shockwaves, preventing the shock from propagating through the pallet container.
