Abstract: An apparatus, method, and computer program product are provided to generate, transform, and control menu data object in network environment. In some example implementations, menu data objects and related parameters are parsed and translated into a stratified data structure that can be used in connection with creating a renderable object associated with an interactive user interface accessible via a mobile system associated with a user. Control over the menu data object and its associated interface can be automated, and/or implemented in a manner that detects interrelated elements of the data structure such that alterations made to one element cause the related elements to be rendered in an alternate manner for visual verification.

Abstract: A method, apparatus, and computer program product are disclosed for improved machine learning using a statistical model. In the context of an apparatus, some example embodiments include a processor configured to cause retrieval of information regarding a plurality of consumers, and modeling circuitry configured to train a statistical model of the plurality of consumers based on the retrieved information, and predict, using the statistical model, an incremental booking value associated with the promotion for each consumer of the plurality of consumers. The processor is further configured to select a subset of the plurality of consumers for receiving impressions of the promotion. Some example embodiments may further include communications circuitry configured to transmit an impression of the promotion to each consumer in the subset of the plurality of consumers.

Abstract: In general, embodiments of the present invention provide systems, methods and computer readable media for ranking promotions selected for recommendation to consumers based on predictions of promotion performance and consumer behavior. In embodiments, a set of promotions to be recommended to a consumer can be sorted and/or ranked according to respective relevance scores representing a probability that the consumer's behavior in response to the promotion will match a ranking target. In embodiments, calculating scores is based on a relevance model (a predictive function) derived from one or more contextual data sources representing attributes of promotions and consumer behavior. In embodiments, an absolute relevance score represents an absolute prediction of a ranking target variable. In embodiments, absolute relevance may be used to determine personalized local merchant discovery frontiers; featured result set thresholding for impressions; and/or promotion notification triggers.

Abstract: Techniques are described for determining locations of interest based on user visits. In some situations, the techniques include obtaining information about actual locations of users at various times, and automatically analyzing the information to determine particular locations in a geographic area that are of interest, such as for frequent destinations visited by users. After determining a particular location of interest, it may be represented by generating a corresponding location model to describe the geographic subarea or other location point(s) covered by the determined location of interest, and one or more points of interest (e.g., businesses, parks, schools, landmarks, etc.) may be identified that are located at or otherwise correspond to the determined location of interest. In addition, a determined location of interest may be further used in various ways, including to identify later user visits to that location (e.g., to a point of interest identified for the location).

Abstract: An apparatus, method, and computer program product are provided to adjust and modify input signals used in connection with predictive models by detecting events, such as changes in operating parameters of data objects and/or related systems and calculating adjusted decay rates to be applied to time-series data associated with times prior to an occurrence of an event. In some example implementations, an indication of an event associated with a given datastream is received, in a manner which indicates the change in an operating parameter and the time at which the change occurred. Based at least in part on the indication of the event associated with the datastream, a second decay rate associated with the set of time-series data is determined and applied to the set of time-series data, such that an updated future performance level can be calculated by a predictive model.

Abstract: Embodiments are disclosed for automated evaluation of compatibility of a data structure with a user device. An example method includes receiving, by communications circuitry, a set of user device characteristics regarding the user device, and retrieving, by the personalization circuitry, a set of data structure characteristics regarding the data structure. The example method further includes calculating, by the personalization circuitry, a set of characteristic-level compatibility scores, and generating, by the personalization circuitry and based on the set of characteristic-level compatibility scores, a compatibility score for the data structure and the user device. Subsequently, the example method includes generating, by an aggregator and using the generated compatibility score, an indication of relative compatibility of the data structure for the user device, and causing transmission, by communications circuitry, of a control signal to the user device based on the indication of relative compatibility.

Some embodiments may include a system with one or more servers. The one or more servers may be configured to generate a consumer interface including an ambient map display with a graphical representation of a map. The ambient map display may further include merchant location indicators within the map. The merchant location indicators may indicate the activity level for merchant locations that are determined to be near a consumer device, such as through a variable blink rate or other indicator. The activity level may represent, for example, the number of consumers at a particular venue or the rate of a particular consumer activity, such as transaction activity. Abstract: Systems and related methods facilitating interactions between a merchant device, a central system and a consumer device are discussed herein. Wallet identifying data may be used to secure messages between the consumer device and the merchant device over a wireless link. For example, the merchant device may include circuitry configured to wirelessly receive the wallet identifying data from a consumer device and to transmit the wallet identifying data to the central system. In response, consumer identifying data associated with the wallet identifying data may be received by the merchant device from the central system.
