  • Patent number: 10858771
Abstract: A device and a method for producing a carrier part having a plurality of fiber bundles. At least one fiber bundle strand is removed from a supply with a fiber bundle conveying unit and is conveyed into its own feed channel. A suction channel associated with each feed channel is fluidically connected thereto. An air flow is generated in the suction channel, and an end portion of the at least one fiber bundle strand is conveyed into the suction channel. By moving the at least one suction channel into a working position, the end portion of the at least one fiber bundle strand is free in a working region of the device. A needle unit having at least one needle can pick up the end portion in the working region and can pull or push it through a carrier part as the needle unit moves through the carrier part.

  • Patent number: 10753024
Abstract: A sewing machine needle includes a blade extending substantially in the needle's longitudinal direction, an eye, which passes through the needle substantially in its elevational direction, and a scarf, which extends along the needle behind the eye. Compared with the contour of the blade, the scarf contour is recessed in the needle's elevational direction. At least in part of the scarf's extension along the needle, the scarf contour in a sectional plane perpendicular to the needle's longitudinal direction is substantially an arc of a circle. The circular-arc-shaped area covers a first angular portion of the needle's circumference. In this part of the scarf's extension along the needle, the radius of the substantially circular-arc-shaped contour in this first angular portion of the needle's circumference is between 35% and 100% of the needle's maximum lateral reach. The needle's lateral direction is perpendicular to its longitudinal and elevational directions.

  • Patent number: 10731282
Abstract: The invention relates to a gripper for a tufting machine, which has a gripper body and an insert. In the longitudinal direction, the gripper has a holding section and a guiding section. At the end further away from the holding section, in the longitudinal direction, the guiding section terminates in a hook which has an inner side in which a joint gap is arranged between the gripper body and the insert. According to the invention, the gripper is characterised in that a stop means, against which the insert abuts in the longitudinal direction towards the holding section, is arranged on the gripper body in the gripper's guiding section in order to limit the size of the joint gap in the inner side of the hook.

  • Patent number: 10487429
Abstract: The tool (10) for textiles according to the invention consists of chromium steel, into which carbon has been embedded in locally varying amounts during a carbonizing process. Thermal treatment achieves a formation of martensite with the maximum achievable hardness, in particular in those zones in which larger carbon fractions have been introduced. A tool for textiles with zones of differing hardnesses can thus be produced without having to subject the individual zones with differing hardnesses to different process conditions during the production process. The hardness is controlled on the basis of the degree of deformation of the tool for textiles.

  • Patent number: 9926650
Abstract: A clothing wire for a clothing roller of a carding machine extends in a wire longitudinal direction and having a base segment, which is thicker transversely to the wire longitudinal direction. A leaf segment, which is narrower compared to the base segment, protrudes from the base segment. A plurality of teeth is formed on the leaf segment along the clothing wire in the wire longitudinal direction. Each tooth has two leaf segment lateral surfaces adjoining the base segment. On at least one of the leaf segment lateral surfaces, at least one projection is formed on each tooth. The cross-sectional profile of the projection is asymmetric and preferably has the contour of a nose. The design of the clothing wire results in a homogenization or parallelization of the fibers, with little wear of the clothing wire and less damage to the fibers.

  • Patent number: 9796103
Abstract: A tool unit (II) includes an ability to change the width (B) of a punching gap between a first tool (12) and a second tool (13). A plurality of second tools (13) jointly form a die tool with a circumferential die cutting edge in which the first tool (12) can engage with a cutting edge (22). • Patent number: 9765456
Abstract: A knitting tool (10), preferably a latch needle, intended for fast-running knitting machines has a meandering shaft with reduced-thickness regions. The meandering shaft is adjoined by a straight shaft extension (16) which likewise has a reduced-thickness portion (32). The shaft extension (16) is distinguished from the shaft (15) by way of its height H2, which is less than the height H1 of the shaft (15). The reduced-thickness region (32) of the shaft extension (16) has a length which is at least much greater than the length of the stitch-forming structure (28) carried by the shaft extension (16). Preferably, the reduced-thickness region (32) is longer overall than the non-reduced-thickness region of the shaft extension (16). With this configuration, a surprisingly efficient high-speed-compatible knitting tool (10) is created.
