Patents Assigned to Gula Consulting Limited Liability Company
  • Patent number: 11809504
Abstract: A tracking system passively tracks and records searches conducted by actual search engine users. The recorded data for each search event preferably includes the search query submitted, the search engine used, the search result item (e.g., web page) selected, the position (e.g., page number) of this item, and the user's IP address. The collected data is aggregated and analyzed to generate data regarding the search queries used to locate and access particular destinations (e.g., web pages and sites). This data may be used for various purposes, such as (1) to generate reports showing, e.g., how users reach a particular destination from different search engines and geographic locations, (2) to select content to display on a destination page, such that the content is relevant to search queries commonly used to locate that page, and (3) to update the database of one search engine to reflect searches conducted on other search engines.

Abstract: A method, apparatus, and computer-readable medium display a video with a set of tags selectively overlaid on the video. The method causes a display device to display a sequence of video frames. The video depicts a plurality of visually perceptible items, and the video frames as displayed do not include any tags, thereby depicting the video in a tagless mode. The method also receives a signal requesting that the video be displayed in a tag mode. In response to receipt of said signal, the method overlays one or more visually perceptible tags on the video frames at specified positions, thereby causing the display device to display the video in a tag mode. Each of the overlaid tags is associated with at least one respective visually perceptible item appearing in the video.

  • Patent number: 11743537
Abstract: A video scene is displayed in a either a tag mode or a tagless mode. The video scene depicts a plurality of visually perceptible items. The tag mode displays one or more visually perceptible tags in conjunction with the video scene. Each tag is associated with a visually perceptible item appearing in the video scene. The tags are categorized into a plurality of categories. In response to a request to display the video scene in the tag mode for a first one of the plurality of categories, the display device displays the video scene in the tag mode displaying tags in the first one of the categories. In response to a request to display the video scene in the tag mode for a second one of the plurality of categories, the display device displays the video scene in the tag mode displaying tags in the second one of the categories.

  • Patent number: 11539792
Abstract: A method and system are disclosed herein for accepting multimodal inputs and deriving synchronized and processed information. A reusable multimodal application is provided on the mobile device. A user transmits a multimodal command to the multimodal platform via the mobile network. The one or more modes of communication that are inputted are transmitted to the multimodal platform(s) via the mobile network(s) and thereafter synchronized and processed at the multimodal platform. The synchronized and processed information is transmitted to the multimodal application. If required, the user verifies and appropriately modifies the synchronized and processed information. The verified and modified information are transferred from the multimodal application to the visual application. The final result(s) are derived by inputting the verified and modified results into the visual application.

Abstract: A mobile communication device aids a driver of an automobile to locate a refueling vender. The mobile communication device receives signals containing information regarding refueling venders within a vicinity of the location of the device. In response to a request to locate a refueling vender within a limited geographic of the device and based on the received information regarding refueling venders within a vicinity of the device, the device displays on a touchscreen information—including price and location—regarding a set of selected refueling venders that satisfy the selection criteria. The driver can request additional information regarding a chosen one of the refueling venders, and the device determines and displays driving directions from the location of device to the location of the chosen one of the refueling venders the driving directions to thereby assist the driver to drive to the chosen one of the refueling venders to refuel.

  • Patent number: 10741216
Abstract: A first method utilizes placeholder tags to facilitate a user's adding a tag to a video scene during a production process of a video. The tag is associated with an item depicted in the video and characterized by size, shape, temporal duration, and spatial location properties with respect to the video scene. A second method facilitates a user's customizing a video scene during a production process of a video, wherein computer-generated graphic content (logo or brand name for the tagged item) is overlaid on the item depicted in the video and associated with the tag. A third method facilitates a user to add a tag to a video scene during a production process of a video, where the video scene is related to another video scene associated with the video, and the method stores data associated with said another video scene to note the tag.

  • Patent number: RE48126
Abstract: A technique for synchronizing a visual browser and a voice browser. A visual browser is used to navigate through visual content, such as WML pages. During the navigation, the visual browser creates a historical record of events that have occurred during the navigation. The voice browser uses this historical record to navigate the content in the same manner as occurred on the visual browser, thereby synchronizing to a state equivalent to that of the visual browser. The creation of the historical record may be performed by using a script to trap events, where the script contains code that records the trapped events. The synchronization technique may be used with a multi-modal application that permits the mode of input/output (I/O) to be changed between visual and voice browsers. When the mode is changed from visual to voice, the record of events captured by the visual browser is provided to the voice browser, thereby allowing the I/O mode to change seamlessly from visual to voice.
