Abstract: This invention relates to a disposable foil pan having a continuous wall and a top ridge surrounding the pan. The wall has at least 10 spaced wall segmented flutes. There are preferably an equal number of segmented flutes on opposite sides of the pan i.e. 3 on each side and 2 on each end of a rectangular or oval pan. The wall segmented flutes having a combined width equal to at least 35% of the length of the wall. Each wall segmented flute has an indented surface facing an inside of the pan, and a raised surface forming the outer wall of the pan. The segmented flutes preferably have a segment length of 0.75 to 2.0 inches and a segmented depth of about ⅛ to ⅜ inches.

Abstract: An assembly of a formed wire roasting rack, a roasting pan and a foil cover, each of which is removable from the rack. Each of the pan and cover has a base, an upstanding sidewall, a rim and a peripheral bead formation surrounding the rim. The rack has a first pair of parallel elongated wire form sections terminating in upwardly extending portions providing outwardly extending wire handles, and a second elongated wire form section extending transverse to the first wire section and terminating in an upwardly extending portion at each end. At each end thereof, a bead gripping formation is provided. The bead gripping formations are sized and proportioned to grippingly retain the pair of pan and cover bead formations when one of the pan and covers is inverted to overlie and cover the other.

Abstract: A tray and method for packaging foil pans having outwardly-extending flange portions. The tray surrounds the outer bottom and side surfaces of the packaged foil pans, protecting the foil pans from damage. The tray includes an engagement portion with a lower surface and an inward protrusion, whereby the outwardly-extending flange portions of the packaged foil pans are securely held therebetween. An integral hang tab extends outwardly from the packaging tray to enable the tray with packaged foil pans to be hung from a display rack. Trays with packaged foil pans may be nested together in either a horizontal orientation or a vertical orientation. Foil pans may be snap-locked into the tray by pressing the outwardly-extending flange portions against the inward protrusion, which flexes allowing the foil pans to pass by and then snaps back to retain the foil pans within the tray.

Abstract: A disposable and interchangeable roasting pan/cover features a base panel with a side wall about its perimeter. A platform for supporting a food product is positioned on the interior surface of the base panel. A handle recess may form the platform so as to define a handle upon the exterior surface of the base panel. Alternatively, a pair of side wall recesses in the interior surface of the side wall may define handles on the side wall exterior surface while enhancing the structural strength of the pan/cover. A rim is disposed about the outer edge of the side wall and features an even number of staggered tongue and groove features. Two of the pan/covers may be oriented with their rims abutted so that one pan/cover serves as a cover for the other serving as a pan. The tongue and groove features of the two pan/covers engage one another so that the cover oriented pan/cover does not slide off of the pan oriented pan/cover holding the food product.

Abstract: A cooking rack is provided for use with an aluminum foil pan. The rack comprises wire segments for supporting a food item to be cooked. The wire segments define a planar array and are disposed above the pan base. The rack includes a pair of oppositely disposed handles, including a hand grip overlying the pan rim and a clamp below the pan rim for clamping the rim therebetween. The clamp is movable to a retracted position for assembly of the pan to the cooking rack and for detaching the rack from the pan.
